I pretty much never go out.

Last summer, I was going out with friends on Friday nights, but only because Troy's parents loved watching Abbey, and it gave me an excuse to send her over there without me having to sit here all alone and depressed..lol

I get little to none..

You know what I tell ya girly!

As long as your going out is not hurting your child in any way, I see nothing wrong with going out once a week. For me, when my kids were little I didn't go out very much. But that was because I didn't have babysitters readily available and I didn't want to leave them with just anyone. But like Veronica said, girl time is very important when you have little ones. So have fun, be good and don't worry.:)

Yeah, I think that's the biggest problem with me. If my parents can't watch him, I'll see if my brother and his wife are willing to. Other than that, I don't trust many people with my son so it's pretty much either family or no one lol. Thanks :)

When my son was very little the out was together with my child ..

i could ask my inlaw to look after him but i was trying to ask as little times as possible
i can count on my one had fingers how many time i left him

once was when he was under 1

after that a lot of problems happen and she had the nerve to tell me i dont look after my son when others around she ment when her son was at home .. :(

I didn't work and was all day home with my son and all night.
we were not going out either ..my husband outing was most of the time drive at night with the car and back home ..
I could not understand a lot of English so was not easy to have friends at that time
anyway so when he was home i was taking a little break while he play a little with the child... and a lot of times to do work in the house that was not easy with a baby
so she was seen this i was dropping him to my husband
so i made sure only to leave him for very important time with her .. as i had no choice for that but was for few hours only and not for going out
and anyway my son never liked her he was crying with her :D

I see nothing wrong to go out sometimes you need a break wish i had that
even once a week not bad for few hours if you can

Aw, that's rough! I can't imagine being in a place where I had to know a different language in order to meet people. Sometimes it's even hard in Miami cause everyone speaks Spanish so I'll even be out with close friends sometimes and won't understand some of their jokes =/ lol
And that has to suck about your mother in law... It takes a lot of nerve for her to say that you're dropping your child for time with your husband. As a mother and wife, she should understand you need to make time for both!

Ah, well I hope you get some more out time! I think all young parents should. Someone told me that once you have a baby, your life is over. I think it's totally the opposite. Your life has just begun when you have a baby. You just have more responsibility. Everything in moderation. :)

I get out, typically, one night every other weekend. When I go out my kids only go with my family. I don't hire baby sitters. My sister or my parents let them have a sleep over with them. The kids love it and I enjoy having my nights away.

As long as you aren't going out like every other night and pawning your responsibilities off on anyone else then I don't see it as an issue.

When they were younger I'd get out about once a month or so. But they are 7 and 6 now so they actually get to enjoy their sleep overs and grandma and grandpas or with my sister and her kiddos.

:thumbup That's cool. I'd let him have more time with my brother and his wife's kids, but he's still too little and they're kinda rowdy lol. Once he get to your kids age, though, it'll be cool cause he'd be able to enjoy time away from me too lol.

Totally. I think my kids enjoy the break more than I do, but thats because my parents and my sister all live out in the country where they can run around crazy, ride four wheelers, not have to mind traffic (since they don't go on the high way lol).

It's nice.

I agree completely with that whole life has just begun thing. Having my daughter changed my priorities and also helped me appreciate the time I can have to go out and spend with people my own age...Lord knows I practically never did before she was born..I was always making up excuses. But, she makes everything better. :D

*tries to remember*

I don't think PS and I went out w/out PBBB for the first couple of years at least. Even after that it was maybe once a year if that. Generally our Anniversary. If we had someone we trust to watch her - Codrus, Stickboy & Satin - when she'd visit - the three of them would make us go ;)

Didn't really feel the need to. We'd done plenty of going out before I got pregnant. We're pretty homebodyish.

Now that she's older we go out more w/out her. Dinner and sometimes a movie. But it's rare. hehehehehehehehehe...... we're boring old fucks and we like it that way.

*runs to CommandCentral to compare notes w/PS*

hehehehehehehehehe.... Depends....

We really don't go out much. We're quite content at home. Neither of us has a burning desire to go out and party any longer. We both had decades of it. I haven't even been truly drunk since before I was pregnant. Mildly buzzed, yeah. But not drunk like I used to get. My liver thanks me I'm sure. Tho, there are times I think about taking it back up again :ninja But, nah....

The only thing I kinda miss is shooting pool. But not really either... To think of how I partied in my late teens, 20's & early 30's, yeah, I'm pretty boring now.:24: And that's ok.:cool

Not often. Maybe a couple of times a month though sometimes a month or two will go by and I haven't gone out by myself once in the entire time.

Even then, I only go normally go out when Imogen is in bed (around 7:30-8pm) and I'm back home by like 11-11:30pm. Any later than that and I struggle a bit to stay awake.

:24: Well it sounds like you got your fair share of fun in at least! And I bet you and PS could throw a killer party if you still wanted ;):D:thumbup
