This weekend was crazy. I had my Nexus appointment at 12:30, so I knew to leave by 11 because I'm a flip.
My mom started telling my dad and I she was dying, literally dying, at 10:45am as we were both getting ready to head out...luckily her nurse showed up soon after and they made the decision to take her by ambulance to the hospital. This is maybe the 10th time she's been hospitalized since 2010 began. Hate to say it, but I feel a lot more peace when she's in there, because it's really gritty and stressful trying to care for her while I work full time and go to school, completely unqualified to be her nurse.
The EMS guys came in the house and called me out of the bathroom in my robe holding a mascara wand to ask me questions, hope they liked what they saw :24: howww embarrassing.
So I drive to the border, I'm calling people to update them on my mom. My GPS, vague as she is, got me on the bridge (worst nightmare) and I had to beg the officer to let me cut in the incoming traffic on the border to go back. I'm still making ok time, but she tells me it's at the Duty Free shop so I turn there, only to find out it's NOT there, AND I'm not "supposed to be there". Um, ok. I beg the guy to help me and he lets me out and tells me it's down the street.
SIGH
I was accepted for my card, yay.
Get home...only to find our 13 year old sheltie is having a poop-stravaganza in the house. He's pretty sick I think
I spent 11 whole hours cleaning between the days. Didn't need to work out, though!
Glad to be at work :24:
