Immunity Challenge

This next challenge is going to start later today but I'm going to lay it out for you guys and let you get organized. This will be done in pairs; one person from each team going head to head. I will give each pair a category, "colours", for example. One person will post a word from that category, let's say "violet". The other person will then have to post a word from that category that starts with the last letter of the previous word. In this case "teal" would be acceptable. I should probably also mention that all words played must be in English. The two players will continue back and forth until one of them is stumped. Once a round has started between a pair of players they will have one minute from the previous post to post their word. We will go according to the time stamp on the posts. If one person posts at 7:34, the next person can post no later than 7:35. If a player cannot think of a word in one minute the other player will be declared the winner and gain a point for their tribe. The first tribe to get three points wins immunity.

I will make a separate thread for each pairing in the word games section of the forum. Players may play in multiple rounds, however they may not play two rounds in a row. Matchups will be determined by who is available at the same time. I am not available from 8:30am to 5:00pm Central. Any other times are fair game. I would like to have this challenge completed by tomorrow evening.

A tribe can have different players in each round or they can alternate the same players, as long as one player doesn't do two rounds in a row. I didn't think it was fair to the team concept if one person was allowed to do them all but I also allowed for the fact that one tribe has less players.

So basically, to answer your question, yes.

So, if I post at 7:34:58 then somebody has precisely one second to respond?

Or are you saying that they have to post sometime in the 7:35 minute?

I'm assuming it's the latter, but I'm paranoid by nature.


Also, this will be hamstringing those with crappy Internet connections- just saying. I'm cool- I've got uVerse 12G. But if anybody is on dial-up they should prob sit this one out.

You give the category and choose who starts, does that person have 60 seconds to post the first word or does the timer start after the firs word ??? Just making sure.

There only needs to be 5 rounds max, so no more than 5 players from each tribe, and this only if the tribe doesn't decide to send in the same player twice.

yeah, that's why I said "5 rounds max" - that is the "worst case scenario". lol

While I'm here... who's the judge and jury over the words that get posted in response to the topic as it plays out? Example - some people playing scrabble make up bizarre words, and you're like WTF is that all about? :ninja (I see this as a potential kink in this challenge.)
