As far as I can see....not one has comed through "unscathed" by this. Personality changes, pettiness ...and thats just whats on the open board, cant imagine what went on behind the scenes.:willy_nilly:

Congrats, Siph. :clap

I'm sooooo glad this game is over! Much thanks to Zirc, for hosting it. As the saying goes... "You done good" :thumbup

Now that it is over, I'm going to go back to my life, and my free spirited ways. I've been way too uptight lately - so, unless things are upbeat, don't expect to see me posting in this thread. :)

To all the Survivor players... thank you for the experience. :)

Thank you GDW and everyone else too. :)

GDW, as has been said by a few people in this thread already - you've played a good game and the methods you used very nearly got you a win. I felt you only wanted me with you to better your chances of a win (nothing wrong with wanting to better your chances to win) and you very nearly succeeded there. Kudos to you for that. :thumbup

I've kept my word and distributed the tokenz as follows based on their position. I've given the top two equal amounts though based on all that I've said in this thread.

GoldDust Woman - 350,000
HK - 350,000
Maulds - 125,000
Boomerang - 75,000
Tangerine - 50,000
hart - 35,000
Zorak - 15,000

Thanks all for what has been a mixed experience :)

edit: I omitted Carn, purely because he has not been around for a long time.

I think I upset Siph with my "Man up. It is just a game" pm. In fact, that could have been what caused my demise.

You didn't upset me Boomie. I was upset because I wanted you in the final three but what made me feel better about the way things happened was your reply about it being just a game. It made me realise that you're a tougher and harder person than a softy like me so I didn't feel so bad about you getting voted off.

It's not a personal indictment on anyone as near as I can tell, just how the game was played.

The way the game was played - I'm not cut out for that. It's not me to play like that and this is the only reason I wanted out - the methods. As I've indicated earlier - not having watched that much of Survivor, I'm not used to the way things went down.

Unless they were both trying to play me as well, in which case I'll feel as dumb as you.

I don't think I've bullsh!tted you once so far. You should know me better than that. For that - 30.png *runs*

It wasn't pretty. Things didn't need to be this way though. I wasn't willing to compromise myself but ended up tarnishing my character anyway it seems and GDW wasn't willing to compromise her chances of a victory. Inevitably, things weren't going to end well.

I don't think you were quite as much the victim as you would have everyone else believe.

I never claimed to be a "victim", I just told it as I saw it and I didn't lie. If you have something to say, say it out loud. I respect GDW for that - at least she is direct with her thoughts.

I think Sam was making a play for HK but then he got blindsided and voted out. :24:

:ninja

Like I even noticed haha, I made the mistake of thinking everyone who was nice to me during the course of the game was just being friendly because they were friendly people :p

I've never watched Survivor so I didn't really grasp how much scheming was meant to be going on behind the scenes until later in the game. I loved the challenges and overall I had a good time, so thanks Zirc for running this :)

A pleasant alternative to this style of game could be to do the challenges without the voting, and just eliminate whoever comes last in each challenge. The you get the fun parts without the need for alliances and votes. I guess it's not Survivor then of course. Although you could call it... like... Skill Survivor or something :p

No, you didn't claim to be one but I got a lot of "I want to quit" from you throughout this game because you didn't like how it was going and then there was that little tantrum at the end when GDW didn't do what you wanted. :surrender

Aah. I thought you meant something other than that stuff that's already been addressed. No worries then :)

On the contrary, Kind Sir. I kept you because I don't like quitters - not to benefit myself. I knew that you could very easily win this game and wanted to prove that to you. I believe I even said that to you in a PM? ;)

I think you were afraid to face a jury of your peers.

Had I have honored your wish and voted you off, the final week of this game would have been without stress for me.

Also, I recant my statement that I broke 2 alliances. I never wrote down Tangs name - so no broken promise there. I did, however, write down Maulds' name. In hindsight - bad move on my part.

I don't think I would have won against you, HK or Maulds. :)

Thank you for the tokenz, Siph. :thumbup

I don't need any healing. I struggled with how to vote, and I talked to all of you other jury members about it. I said what I did about how they couldnt both lose because I was bummed out about all the bickering at the end. Goldy was my pal before Survivor and her writing my name down doesn't change that. I didn't know Siph before but I'm glad this game gave me the chance to get to (you too hart). I wouldn't play it again because it was stressful and I sucked at almost every challenge but I don't regret having played.

Yes, you did indeed encourage me on more than one occasion about my ability to win this game. It was not the jury I was afraid of. Perhaps looking back introspectively - what I wanted could be seen as selfish and then the reaction as petulance. For that, I do apologise again. I certainly didn't want to ruin anyone's fun.

As for the tokenz, you're welcome :)

Can we delete this thread........? Healing won't begin until this is closed!

Perhaps if it could be closed and perhaps a reunion thread started somewhere as Tang suggested - where bickering is strictly outlawed :D

As you quite rightly said - I hardly interacted with you at all apart from that one brief pm exchange, so I can understand your dilemma on whom to vote for. I felt I got to know your character a little though during the course of the game and for that I'm glad.

:humm: No, you never actually voted for Tangerine so technically you didn't break that alliance. I think you broke it in spirit, though, because you didn't actively support it in that vote. You went off the map and voted for Boomerang in that round, which you did so that you could say what you're saying now...you never voted for Tangerine but you didn't vote with the other alliance either. While you would like this to extend to "you never broke your alliance with Tangerine" I don't think it's quite as simple as that. ;)

I wish I had kept a record of who voted for who in each round, especially after the merge. As my pm box got full I just deleted them so now they're gone. Most voting was predictable, though.

I don't even recall who was being voted on. Wasn't it something like a 3-2-1 vote, with someone missing out on the vote? My only recollection was that I had hoped for a tie - bringing forth a tie breaker challenge.

I'm pretty sure Tang got three votes, I got two and Boomie got one. I don't remember if someone didn't vote, but I think it might have been Maulds :dunno

Don't wanna teach grandma to suck eggs but in case you've never seen it - at the bottom of your private messages there is this to make it easy before you delete if you need to keep stuff:

Aaaah! Now it's coming back to me! I think you're right!

zirc? Wasn't that when I had actually cast a vote for HK and then changed my vote, or was that another time?

Sorry HK, but I did do that. :p What caused me to change it was fear of the wrath of Siph, :24:

I've seen it but I generally don't see the point in downloading messages so I didn't think of it.
