Damn! Thats seen as extremely right wing over here, even most Conservatives want the Welfare state! I always saw Libertarians as pretty much the same as the Lib Dems, somewhere in the middle but pussies who jump on the side of whoever is winning.

Libertarians believe in limited government and most powers currently held by the federal government instead being given to the states as is outlined in the Constitution. We don't necessarily have a problem with social programs per se, but rather with them being nationalized and run by the Federal Government rather than the States. For example, you'll hear me talk about how Social Security and MediCare are unconstitutional, but individual states would be within their power to institute such programs. We generally also believe in things such as the legalization of marijuana (and other drugs), legalization of prostitution, such "radical" ideas like abolishing the current US Tax Code and implementing the FairTax (or a Flat Tax) system to replace it.

Typically, a Libertarian is defined as being socially liberal (in terms of personal choices), and financially conservative. There are variations in that as well though. Ron Paul is a right leaning socially Libertarian, but more liberal than just about any Republican.

Technically Libertarianism is a form of Anarchy, but you don't want to get tied up in specifics here...

I think the Liberterians who have a problem with a federal program like Social Security or Health Care would have a problem with it regardless if it is administered by the U.S. or State government. They are not going to say, well as long as the State does it, then it's ok. Regarding perception, it's still their money being used to help some undeserving person. Libertarians as a rule focus on "me" and "my" and for the most part minimize "we".

I'm big enough to admit it if I'm wrong, so have at it. :)

Remember, I fully believe that everything, every issue we all fight about is nothing but smoke and mirrors. Issues designed to divide us while the country is being stolen out from under us by both parties. Again, having liberal views doesn't make me a democrat just as having conservative views makes you a republican. I think we are all pissed about the same things, we just view it differently because of the bullshit each side feeds us. We are meant to be distracted by that shiny coin over there while they lift our wallets.

:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap

If every single American realized that perhaps we'd actually be able to change the sold-out crap that is our government. After we get vote-fraud under control of course.

Pardon me if I don't hold my breath on both counts.

Stop looking at the shiny coin... it's not voter fraud, never has been. You need to be concerned with the votes after they are cast, the rigging of elections. Voter fraud is just another red herring.

You're absolutely right. It's what happens after all is said and done on the citizens part that we have to worry about. Voters fraud is just a piece of the big picture. Albeit the combination of the 2 could turn an election whatever way the big guns want it to go...

Voter fraud is a myth, it doesn't happen, it's not a problem...

Terms like voter fraud is thrown out there and we are meant to be scared of some guy with multiple identities casting many votes, or some illegal casting a vote. But again, this is nothing more than a distraction while the real crime happens behind the scenes.
