I used to keep a grocery app on my phone. Since I have my phone on me at all times, this made sense. I've seen so many people with that "text stance" (head down, arms holding the device) overseas and here at home that I've gotten disgusted with the whole thing. Not only do I refuse to answer texts immediately ("immediately" being the catch word here), I've gone back to writing my grocery lists on real paper.


More importantly, my four year old daughter moves like the wind. All I need to do is go into the "text stance" and she's out of my sight in an instance. I just don't think anything is that important to take your eyes off of real life going on around you. Not to mention that I can't multitask like I used to.

I will bond you out Fred...I am also one that believes people shouldn't block or slow others when it can be avoided.

We have it worse here...one person can accomplish the same blockage as two....they stand on one side and have their cart on the other..
The cart will be about 2 feet away from the shelves ...then there will be about 2 feet between the person and the cart...and about two feet between the person and the shelves..no way to squeeze through.
I got to where I am an ass....How can they not know they are blockers?.

Those are the kind I love to fart on after having eggs with lots of green peppers and onion. If I can't fart on them I ask them loud enough for 2 aisles to hear to move their cart. Had a screaming kid that could be heard for about 6 aisles on Saturday while grocery shopping. If they would have come in an aisle I was in I would have said something. IJS.

I really wanted to go NCIS "Jethro Gibbs" on the guy shuffling along texting. I bet if I had slapped him to the back of the head he would have gotten the point.

Had one a few weeks ago that could be heard over the entire store from the cash registers. Constantly crying and screaming "no" over and over again. My mama would've walked out of the store and torn my ass up, not stood in there continuing her purchase.

I will look at them with a glare on my face and tell them I need to get through. As I pass them I will usually mumble some kind of smartass remark.
