Oh yeah, that was totally where I was, too...but it was kinda like a "ummmm, how did Bobby Flay swing THAT!?!?!?" Mariska Hargitay set them up!!! And he proposed to her while they were ice skating at Rockefeller Center...how sweet!!!

Aw, I didn't know that...that's kinda sweet! :D

Btw...I'm addicted to food network...seriously...I have a problem. I love them all. :p

Me too!!! There's only a few I don't like. I don't really like the Barefoot Contessa woman...and I'm not big on the chick w/ the tablescapes, but I can deal w/ her. That Giada girl made a calamari soup one time that was hot pink...it was disgusting.

HAHA! Yep, Barefoot Contessa I totally agree with you there...despite being "barefoot" she's still a bit uppity for me. Sandra Lee (tablescapes lady) I never dug either until I saw her Chefography (yeah, it was a slow night lol) and when I saw what she came from, I really liked her. I've made and modified a couple of Giada's recipes and while that soup doesn't sound so fab, her rigatoni with a bechemel sauce is buono! My uncle who's a bit of your old standard, conservative, Catholic, Italian always says this when Giada comes on, "Oh great, here comes teeth and boobs...she should be ashamed of herself...turn this off." lol

Well, now, I think the answer to that is TOTALLY obvious!!! ;)

Seriously, did anybody else see the hot pink calamari soup she made??? She left the tentacles in and everything. I bet her friends that got served that were ready to puke!!! LOL

I was a HUGE fan of hers and then she got a little sickening...kinda like Rachel Ray...it's like they got some fame and then they REALLY started laying it on. Both are very talented and I've made some of their stuff as well with great results...but I find I can't watch an entire show of Paula's anymore. I don't know that I'd stand in line for hours either, but it would be kinda cool to eat there just to say I did it...of course if her brother's is better...well so much the better! :D

Well, the thing is...people go to Savannah for SEAFOOD, not the down home Southern cooking that her restaurant offers. Besides, if you want some down home Southern cooking that'll make you slap yo mama, you gotta talk to the older black women in the South. THOSE are the cooks to get your Southern cooking from!!! ;)

Paula's accent is exaggerated...that's what bugs me the most about her. Plus her cooking classes are like $300 or something!!! On a side note, I totally stole a bottle of ketchup off her set (in her brother's restaurant). In my defense, I had leftover steak and I can't eat it w/o ketchup. ;)

Oh soul food is just...yummmmmmm...it's a total guilty pleasure of mine and believe it or not, we actually have a couple of decent places here in Pittsburgh, despite being yankees! lol

You stole the ketchup? Fabulous...I'm sure it didn't break their bank. ;)
