I hate killing them. Any Floridian knows that if you keep one or two of these in your home you will have less roaches - which I find much more disgusting. Ain't no catching and releasing those. Dead on sight.

It's hard enough w/three cats to keep Wolfies in the house. We'll wake up to find legs on the floor...

But so as to lessen the girls freaking out that there is a spider in the house, the problem was quickly solved. Had PBBB not seen it and had not started screaming, alerting everyone else to the fact it was there, I'd have left it alone.

For the record, I have never had one in our bed. They're floor & wall-ceiling spiders.

I can't imagine em comfortable with a wolf spider lurking about. at least one of the larger ones. but then some people freak at the sight of a spider. my one daughter can't even squish em she is so afraid of em.

We have mostly harmless spiders here. Our Black Widow is the most venomous - that's like your Red Backs.

Some spiders in Oz will frickin kill ya! You see many of these bad boys Cam?

That funnel web is one scary looking critter! :eek Didn't see any while there - probably because it was winter. Saw some redbacks though. They behave like our black widows as best I could tell. They like dark crannies in the shed.

I threw a trash can over it and then screamed when I realized the top of the can left enough room for him to slither back out. Finally got a broom and swept him out. I cringed the whole time.

I have a picture of a wolf spider on my phone... with his eyes glaring from the flash. He looks like a demon spider! Found him standing in the hallway staring at me. He didn't survive, either. :eek
