My Sisters Keeper,Stepmom, most of the Disney films because for some reason they cant have a movie without at least one tear-jerker scene. Titanic the second time around, I was to young to appreciate it the first time.

My Sister's Keeper (moreso the book than the movie. the ending wasn't as emotional after the way the book ended.)

I was JUST coming back to post My Sister's Keeper. The scene where Cameron Diaz climbs into the bed w/ her daughter at the hospital and just sobs...OMG!!! And the book's ending sucked balls...I hated it!!! :mad

The Guardian can make this list now. I didn't cry, but I felt sad. I always do when I watch that movie. :D

On of the few, "Saving Private Ryan", at the end of the film where James Francis Ryan was with his family at the Normandy American Cemetery in France.

I think a film's going to be good if it makes me cry in the first ten minutes, and Up did that :( what a sad film.

And Star Trek! That made me cry straight away as well.

The Godfather, when Vito Corleone died.
(and just in case anyone is going to ask, no that's not where i got my username)
And I also get a bit sad in some of the Dr Who episodes, and in The Pacific.

I can get misty eyed at many of the "predictable" sad movies/movie moments, but because they are so predictable they don't really "get me". The only exception to this is "of Mice and Men" - possible my all-time favorite piece of literature.

There are a couple that DO totally break me down into tears, though, and most people wouldn't consider them "sad" I don't think. But they are highly emotional and connect with me personally to the point where I just lose it.

Not as yet mentioned (I think) that tore me up or brought tears to my eyes:

Dead Poets Society
Somewhere In Time

The Blindside

:homo:ette.

but I always cry at Dr Who episodes as well.

:homo:ette - for one episode. The bit where the Doctor comes back for just a wee moment to see you know who on the beach... and then fades away. That definitely tore me up.

And Star Trek! That made me cry straight away as well.

The first suicidal scene was definitely a tear me up moment.

When I see movie greatness I tear up- Such as the final battle in Lord of the Rings, Return of the King. Like when Legolas single handedly takes down an olephant. No I'm not balling out loud, a tear runs down my cheek as an emotional response. :p
