At times we have had to. It's been the way of it for years. We haven't always played well this season. Birmingham, Man City (to a point), Stoke (well, patience needed more than anything), Sunderland, Bolton.

Arsenal at the moment are playing some great football. No denying that.

At this moment in time Liverpool are the most likely to drop out of that top 4. I don't think City will instantly become a member of the 'Big 4', they'll have to work for that.

With us though, people have always said for years that when we're weakened we're not as good. But I say that we're not a one man team, sure we miss Ronaldo at times but again, he is not and never was the be all and end all. He had nothing to do with that run we went on last seaosn where between November and February we didn't concede once. That was the defense.

As I said, a player of his quality will always be missed. But we've moved on. I'd still take our squad out of all the top 4 ones.

Well, that only gets you so far. You can't build your whole team on youth. You need experience there too. When we did it in 1995 we still had the old heads like Bruce, Cantona, Mclair et al. Plus some of Arsenal's youth is either not good enough or too young for the league. Jack Wilshere is promising but he was found out last year when they went to Porto. Fran Merida is decent but still at youth level. Even Nicklas Bentdner (only 21 would you believe) is not good enough, sure he scores now and then but the chances he misses in games are really bad. Watch the Liverpool Carling Cup game as an example.

It's not what you get it's who you get. And they still can't defend for shit. Sure they have a lot of pretty decent attackers, but 5 draws in a row smacks of something up.

We've been saying that for years. And it's got to the point where it's just repeating yourself all the time. They have had that promise that they are going to break into the top 4 for years, can't see it happening personally.

The reason why Liverpool are showing signs of it is because of how they are run. The two owners are fighting all the time, one of them wants to get rid of Rafa and the other doesn't.

Plus they have a pretty shitty squad. I mean when Gerrard and Torres are out who do they have? Ok Mascherano who is ok, but Lucas Leiva? Andrei Voronin? David N'Gog?
