Kind of scary, but I'll have to ask about it I guess :(

i do understand how u feel. However, don't be scared, it's better for you to know what's going on than not know at all and be in pain. ;)

 I agree with Tim and Edgray too it can be gout although it can also be anything related to arthritis as gout too is a form of arthritis or something else related to any joint disorders. Who knows? :dunno

Gout's main symptoms involves redness, swelling, warmth on the skin and of course pain. It can also be accompanied by fever. The area can be super sensitive where even a blanket touching it can increase your pain. Read on the attached link and see what can maybe help for info and how to manage it till you really know what's going on.

btw- gout is hereditary too so check your familial history on that.

If it does end up being gout, don't worry, it's really easy to manage. A change in diet is all that is needed. You could go the other way and take medication, but it's 2 alluproprinol tablets every day. I didn't like the sound of that so I just cut down on red meat and alcohol. My attacks now are very infrequent. Last one was over a year ago.

There's so much info online about it too. Look into, do a little research, and it needn't affect your life very much at all.

I now have some cream, a higher dose of ibu., a brace and some muscle relaxers. I spent about 45 minutes talking to her. It was awesome. We decided it's likely the tendons/muscles and not the actual knee. She doesn't seem concerned about permanent damage. Said to alternate hot/cold and give it a couple more weeks and to come back if it still hurts.

Unfortunately, Matt has duty. Adrianne sat with me a bit, but now I'm alone again, and a little loopy. He'll be home in the AM. :(
