I had one of these this morning.

Came downstairs and found I'd left the oven switched on all night.

All night!

Luckily, our entire house is completely electric. Still :ninja

I came home and found the door wall open. Left it open all day. Luck I did not have some new pets in the house.

I have done the oven thing too. That was not a brain fart that time though. Booze :D
Also left a hot dog in it cooking. Smoked up the apartment complex. :p

*rifles in purse*

WHERE IS MY WALLET????

*frantic trips to Meijer and calls to the credit card companies later, no wallet*

I hate losing stuff. I hate screwing up in general, much more than most people lol.

I was getting ready to head out to work in the morning. Could not find my keys anywhere. I ended up finding them in the lock on the outside of my door. Obviously I'd gotten home the evening before, unlocked my door and then just left my keys there. They were there all night! I could have been killed in my sleep! :willy_nilly: I've done this three times now. :D

^That reminds me, once at school I thought "eh fuck, short class, I don't need to bring my purse!" *throws purse in trunk and shuffles off*
...

until I realized both my cell phone and keys were in the purse.

What a horrible mess. I had to beg people for their cell phones, and my parents never picked up, so I walked a mile in the snow (kid you not) to the police station where the agreed to open my car for free but could not give me a ride to the car (to this day I can't recall why) and I walked back, waiting to see flashing lights to guide them over to my car.

DUMB. ASS.

I've locked my keys in my car twice...both times when I lived in Kentucky and with the same car. The first time I was on nights. I got home from work a little after 6am. I stayed up to go to church and got home at noon. Got out of the car, locked the door, closed it. As soon as the door clicked shut I knew my keys were still in the ignition (I didn't have power locks). So here I am, dead tired because I'd been up all night and all morning and I can't get into my house. I had a spare house key as well as spare car keys but they were both inside the house. I ended up having to wait until my friend got home from work (she lived next door) at 5:00. She managed to jimmy the lock on my back door with a butter knife. free-happy-smileys-839.png I finally got to sleep at 5:30. Thank goodness I wasn't working that night. After that I hid a spare house key outside.

The second time I did it was a short time later. I was still on nights. I went to Walmart to do my grocery shopping and it was late...around 11pm, I think. I parked at Walmart, locked the door and, just like the first time, as soon as I closed the door I knew my keys were still in the ignition. So that royally sucked because now I was stuck at Walmart and I lived about 10 miles out of town so it's not like I could just walk home and get my spare keys. So I went into Walmart and as it turned out one of the cashiers was just getting off work. She was kind enough to drive me back to my place so I could get my spare car keys and then bring me back to Walmart. Thank goodness it never happened again.

When I was 19 I was moving out of an apartment and came up with the bright idea of defrosting the refridgerator with my car keys.....Yup, you guessed it it broke off, I didn't have a spare and I had to pay a locksmith a bunch of money for a key.....

That was a definite Oh Fuck moment.:thumbdown

Before I got the second lock on my door, I frequently went to sleep with the door unlocked.

Left the oven and cooker on all night (electric but almost melted the kitchen floor)

I never lock the front door when I am home. I never even thought about being killed in my sleep! Eeeek!

I'm more of a "SON OF BITCH" kind of guy, but two of the biggest "Oh ****" moments I can remember was the first time jumping out of an airplane and running high falls at 7' and taking a wrong line LOL

7:15am - definitely getting up this time

7:30am - I'll still be on time if I get up now and hurry...

7:45am - this time I'm up for sure, have to be out the door in 15 minutes...
