Offtopicz too cheap?

After reading that this website sold for $1500, does anyone else think that this forum went for a lot less than it is worth? Consdering it has a zillion members and posts it should be worth megabucks!

Of course i am no expert in ecommerce so hopefully someone will alot more knowledge than myself will be able to tell me that the price was right

I don't know man, you can have all the users in the world but unless you find a way to monetize and bring in income off those users than that number isn't worth a whole lot. Look at a site like reddit. They're one of the top twenty sites in the world so far as monthly unique page views goes and they're losing money left and right. I'm honestly pretty surprised when any site is profitable without directly selling anything.

I wasn't here when the sale happened. But I have sold my communities that had thousands of posts and hundreds of users for as little as $400. There is no market for selling communities for the price they deserve.
