Its a long story...basically he was posting as a terrorist sympathizer and wanted agreement.
I side with my own on the matter....nor do I approve of terrorists terrorizing other nations as well.
His feelings were very strong on the matter....eventually his hate for me dissolved and we actually became friends.
Then one day on here he began a vicious attack on me... while using a front.
This become very disruptive and went on for weeks as he trashed endless threads..eventually he received a short time probationary period.
He continued to post after it ended and did not leave the forum due to such.
He left because he "lost"
After weeks of character attack....he become more desperate to divert his loss by furthered character attacks,as an effort for a red herring to mask his own failure, he should have merely let it go and it would soon have been forgotten anyway.
He is a pretty sharp ole guy...but his method was flawed from the beggining,thus the failure.
The forum was in a divide at the time...essentially team "A" and team "B".
He switched sides just to join forces as to share a common opponent.
This was a bad move on his part as they really didn't like him but were pleased to not have to face a strong debater.
I hold no ill towards him and even offered an olive branch yesterday...but it was openly shit upon.
He is still emotionally distraught over the whole situation of his terrible plays in the past.
Sad...as I gave him a free win hoping he would just let it go as to not disrupt the board in every thread.
But he had already switched sides and was obvious he was posting out of convenience...something he additionally accused me of as to mask his very actions.
I will say this I felt bad yes...but what are you going to do when a dog is biting at your legs for weeks?
I kicked it in the teeth lol

And again, no, I'm not sending you a link to that debate forum no matter how much you beg in those emails you've sent. You'd have to be invited and that's unlikely ...... and certainly never by me. :D

So.....I take it there's a spinoff site by OTZ members .... that wouldn't invite you either. LOL! Big surprise :D

Hi Jonesie :)

At the 'end' ( :D ) Tim was OK......but a lot of crap was going on behind the scenes with administration of that site. IMO, a lot rested indirectly with the owner.
If you've noticed, general membership and guest participation is now down about 50% and many tech/malware problems now go unanswered/unresolved.
The closed Civ Debate still pulls more than twice the views of the current replacement, often up to 10X.
Honest debate obviously pulls in more participants than forum flooding and disingenuous arguments. IMO, too many sensitive members couldn't understand that it wasn't a forum to express opinion, it was a forum to defend opinion.
I left when one of the debate moderators started spewing ethnic slurs all of which were deleted to hide the incident. Gaby left, then I officially left only to be followed the next day with a ban notice that claimed I 'requested the ban' :D......LOL! Damn that 'A List' :D
A lot of regulars dropped out of debate around that time frame.
Mr King Shit of Debate now moderates a forum of, at best, seems to be 3 regulars ( not joking )
Attitudes in the tech forums weren't good for a while, either. Naturally, that had a bigger impact on the whole site.


Things change.
