I have it at 98% on hard, and Expert isn't that much different for me. It's a great song and I love playing it.

Hey James, is GH 1 worth getting or should a NooB just go to GH2? I'm thinking of getting this for my 15 yo.

If I were to do this again, I would still start out with GH2. I've played GH1 and the hammerons/pulloffs almost never work for me, so I end up strumming on every single note. It makes it less fun when you hammer on to a note and it doesn't play.

If you want to wait though, GH3 comes out 10/27, but there are songs on GH2 that I'll never get tired of playing. Freebird, Beast and the Harlot (by Avenged Sevenfold) Sweet Child O' Mine, Jessica, and Killing in the name (by rage against the machine) to name a few.

Yep. There's a few videos out on youtube of it. One guy was holding his keyboard like a guitar and playing it. lol

On the Xbox version you can use the regular controller, but half the fun is holding the guitar to me.

Last night Markis and I were playing co-op and scored over 1,000,000 points on this song. We were always 12-14k away but we saved all our starpower for the Chords (Chords x8= shitloads of points) and accomplished it.

Well I'm done with GH2 for now. I 5 starred Crazy on you and thus "beat" hard. Expert is just too much insanity for me and I don't enjoy playing in it.

wow so guitar hero 3 just came out on sunday, and my friend bought it.
we thought, lets beat it on hard. we got through 41 songs and the last one you have to have a guitar battle with Lou (a devil looking character).

and to top it off your playing the devil went down to gorgia (some metal remix).

After about 20 tries we gave up. its just insanity. Someday soon i will be it but god damn its hard. and the thing that sucks is the only song that i really want to play is "through the fire and flames" by dragonforce but it doesnt become unlocked until you beat the final boss. son of a bitchin game!

Hot damn, I just played Guitar Hero III over at my friend's house, freaking awesome. Let me just say first of all that this is the first Guitar Hero I've ever played, so I don't know how it is compared to GHII. Now, considering it was my first time ever playing a GH, I think I did pretty damn good. I only played a couple of songs though before I left, "Rock and Roll all night" by Kiss and "The Metal" by Tenacious D. I got 94% on R&R all night and 89% on The Metal. Gonna go back to his house tomorrow and REALLY play it.

It may not have the same success because GH is THE name in the genre, but I think it'll be better. You can play guitar, bass, drums, or sing. Downloadable new songs. And you can form a band online with 3 other people. Bad ass!!!
