More interesting information about the movement:

This is not an official statement from the #OWS 99% Movement. As a decentralized leaderless movement, in our opinion, there is no one group, organization, website or individual who can speak for the movement as a whole. We, a working group of people currently occupying Liberty Park and many other locations throughout the US, are growing increasingly concerned about divide and conquer attempts being made to co-opt the movement. In the following message, we are issuing our first proposed statement. If you agree with the statement, please post it to your website and/or spread it throughout your social networks, both online and offline at occupations throughout the country. If you would like to read this statement at your local GA meetings and vote or edit it, feel free. If you disagree with the statement, please air your disagreements – this is what democracy looks like.

We appreciate, respect and encourage endorsements from individuals and organizations. We invite them. However, just because an individual or organization endorses our movement, does not mean that they in any way have a leadership role in deciding the future direction of this movement.

We will not be co-opted by hierarchical organizations. No matter how wonderful their cause may be.

There are many people, organizations and media outlets within both the Democratic and Republican parties who are trying to label us as the Democrat’s version of the Tea Party. In this working groups opinion, not only is this incorrect, but in labeling us this way, you are, whether you realize it or not, undermining the very essence of this movement with your obsolete divide and conquer groupthink propaganda. Just as the mainstream media and both political parties aided and abetted the co-option of the Tea Party by the Republican Party, there is an attempt being made to do the same to us within the Democratic Party.

We the People, We the 99%, are not the pawns of either wing of the two-party oligarchy.

We emphatically reject the attempted leadership of any political party, organization or individual. If there are elected officials or organizations who endorse our movement, we welcome them.

However, they must do so knowing this: Your voice will be just as loud as any other voice. We are led by no one. You cannot co-opt We The People.

Respect Us.

Check out this Daily Show episode. Jon Stewart is funny as hell and speaks to the truth of the issue better than any corporate media outlet. He shows how idiotic and conservative American media has become.

At one point, about 3 minutes or so in, Sean Hannity actually speaks out in favor of the OWS protesters!

http://www.thedailyshow.com/watch/wed-october-5-2011/parks-and-demonstration

Actually he was talking about the Tea Party.:24:

Gotta love John Stewart though.

Maybe this movement will somehow morph into something more cohesive and effective.

Indeed...

Watching the Jon Stewart clip reminded me why I don't watch NetworkNewsShows. Outside of my local station news, of course.

Why would I want to do that to my brain?

Don't get me wrong. After September 11th, this DomesticGoddess plugged into quite a few of them for awhile. Since I was a stay-at-home mom, I could watch and keep 'up to date' w/what was going on.

Until then, I hadn't really given a shit about politics. But on that fateful day, I pulled my head out of my nest and looked to whom was guarding our hen house and how they could have let the foxes in.

It only took a couple of months until I realized the real news is on line and I flipped off the crap telling me what I should be thinking and haven't been back since.

I see I haven't missed much. Same distractions every day packaged differently for variety. Still w/their assumption they can tell us what to believe and we will. Apparently it works for some as they still broadcast the same way so they still have ratings.

pppffffttttt......... whatever..

Why would I wanna fill my pretty little head w/that drivel? ewww...

Jon rocks :)

Found it and I guess they are demands.

And these people are loony as hell.

http://occupywallst.org/forum/proposed-list-of-demands-for-occupy-wall-st-moveme/

Demand one: Restoration of the living wage. This demand can only be met by ending "Freetrade" by re-imposing trade tariffs on all imported goods entering the American market to level the playing field for domestic family farming and domestic manufacturing as most nations that are dumping cheap products onto the American market have radical wage and environmental regulation advantages. Another policy that must be instituted is raise the minimum wage to twenty dollars an hr.

Demand two: Institute a universal single payer healthcare system. To do this all private insurers must be banned from the healthcare market as their only effect on the health of patients is to take money away from doctors, nurses and hospitals preventing them from doing their jobs and hand that money to wall st. investors.

Demand three: Guaranteed living wage income regardless of employment.

Demand four: Free college education.

Demand five: Begin a fast track process to bring the fossil fuel economy to an end while at the same bringing the alternative energy economy up to energy demand.

Demand six: One trillion dollars in infrastructure (Water, Sewer, Rail, Roads and Bridges and Electrical Grid) spending now.
Demand seven: One trillion dollars in ecological restoration planting forests, reestablishing wetlands and the natural flow of river systems and decommissioning of all of America's nuclear power plants.

Demand eight: Racial and gender equal rights amendment.

Demand nine: Open borders migration. anyone can travel anywhere to work and live.

Demand ten: Bring American elections up to international standards of a paper ballot precinct counted and recounted in front of an independent and party observers system.

Demand eleven: Immediate across the board debt forgiveness for all. Debt forgiveness of sovereign debt, commercial loans, home mortgages, home equity loans, credit card debt, student loans and personal loans now! All debt must be stricken from the "Books." World Bank Loans to all Nations, Bank to Bank Debt and all Bonds and Margin Call Debt in the stock market including all Derivatives or Credit Default Swaps, all 65 trillion dollars of them must also be stricken from the "Books." And I don't mean debt that is in default, I mean all debt on the entire planet period.

Demand twelve: Outlaw all credit reporting agencies.

Demand thirteen: Allow all workers to sign a ballot at any time during a union organizing campaign or at any time that represents their yeah or nay to having a union represent them in collective bargaining or to form a union.

These demands will create so many jobs it will be completely impossible to fill them without an open borders policy.

In case you are not aware, this list of demands was posted on the Occupy Wall Street. org forum. (see the link attached to the quoted list above). Occupy Wall Street had this to say

Admin note: This is not an official list of demands. This is a forum post submitted by a single user and hyped by irresponsible news/commentary agencies like Fox News and Mises.org. This content was not published by the OccupyWallSt.org collective, nor was it ever proposed or agreed to on a consensus basis with the NYC General Assembly. There is NO official list of demands. http://occupywallst.org/forum/proposed-list-of-demands-for-occupy-wall-st-moveme/

Don't feel bad. The panic is setting in. It's important to muddy the waters so that this movement gets no more traction than it has.

It has already been publicly-admitted that Agent Provocateur's were in place for the DC Museum one. Imagine my shock. Tho, I was surprised it was admitted to. Usually the little dweeb who is advocating violence is an AP.

Our local abc affiliate gave our local protest a bit of coverage. Of course they had to find the woman with pink hair to interview. At least she was well-spoken.

It's also come out that the police led all those protesters to the Brooklyn Bridge. Imagine that.

At least 1,000 cities have something going. So yeah, those 1% might be getting a bit nervous..... Good. People are waking up to the fact that we're getting fucked and not even kissed and none of these people have gone to jail or even been held accountable. Nope, it's all about getting fatter bonuses. Hello????

Just got back from an Occupy Oklahoma City General Assembly. Met some interesting people - school teachers, professionals, couple of local oil company geo-scientists, lots of college students and young people. Only about 150 people tonight. The OKC news media were all there. I'll post some pics later.
