Faith based programs are dependant on being preached to and are not done purely for unselfish reasons. Otherwise we wouldn't have Christian orthanagies over here refusing to allow gay parents to adopt kid, purely for that reason alone. Thats putting religion above caring for the kids.

The primary purpose of missionaries is to teach the locals that their cultural/local religion is not the correct one, to show them the truth in a sincere effort to keep them from burning in hell. They do do good things for the community and I think they honestly believe that by converting the heathen they are doing a really good thing.

Well, I think giving money to charities is alright, as long as they are really helping everyone. However, it should be toward all religions in the United States who are going to help people, not just Christianity. I'm saying that the plan right now is just to give tax payers' money to Christian churches to do as they will, but certainly don't exclude anyone out of the picture.

The hire and fire thing got me, but it was a little vague. That right there is right over the line that I will support.
