You gave me warm and fuzzzies, :p but in an honest democracy politicians remain or are removed by the will of the people which consists of their vote or passing laws that cover terms of office, not black bag teams that make you disappear... ;)

Some will blame Obama for their loses in Nov 2010 on him while it will have been their own doing. Why can other politicians win elections and others "steal" others from their rivals while the losers ( some ) will complain that their loses are those at the top to blame ?

Obama's real challenge will come for himself in 2012 will it not ?

He can help carry the momentum but he cannot win the election for others.. They must do that themselves.. If enything should be learned it should have been from the Brown's Election when he took Kennedy's old seat.. Nothing is certain in this world and nothing should be taken for granted..

Obama is toast. I don't care what your idiot blog stories say. The economy would have to turn around for him to get re elected and that is not gonna happen. We are not a left leaning country. We are much more centrist and if anything a little tilted to the right. Thanks to the incompetency of the Bush and the republicans those in the middle were sucked into the Obama bullshit campaign and it got him elected. That mistake will not happen again. Like this last election just about anybody reasonable could be on the ballot and beat Obama. The only other way he would be elected again is if the republicans took control of at least the senate. People might be willing to give him 4 more years if there was something to counter balance against his and the lefts nonsense.
Watever happens dont expect Obama to turn around the economy to the pre-crisis levels during his first term. That is asking for the moon.
Poll: Most Americans think the stimulus didn't help

Nearly two-thirds of Americans do not believe the $787 billion stimulus package the president passed last year has helped create jobs, according to a new Pew Research Center poll.

Sixty-two percent of those polled said the stimulus hasn’t contributed to job creation, while 33 percent said the package has.

Only a slight majority, 51 percent, of Democrats think the stimulus helped create jobs; 42 percent said it has not. Seventy-nine percent of self-identified Republicans said the stimulus didn’t aid job growth, while 18 percent thought it did.

I just meant this site haha
I guess i assume the people who bash him are the ones who wanted a republican in office last election

Again, you really must not be paying attention. I'm not a Republican, and I think Obama is well on his way to being a worse president than GWB. I didn't want a Republican in office either, though I think McCain was a better choice than Obama, but I voted for Bob Barr. There's a big chunk of people here that seem to get lumped in as Republicans because we don't like Obama, when in actuality we're not huge fans of the GOP either.

I'm guessing people think I bash Obama. I voted for Barr as well. Woulda voted for Ron Paul if the Republicans hadn't had their collective heads so far up their collective asses.

That's because the general attitude around here is that if you don't like Obama then you must be a right-wing Republican
Republicans bash Obama because they can't take credit for all the spending & power grabbing if a democrat is president.

Consumer Spending Drives 1st Qtr. Growth
(WASHINGTON) — The government says the economy grew at a solid 3.2 percent pace during the first quarter of this year as consumers boosted their spending by the most in three years.
Friday's report provides more evidence that the recovery remains on track. It marked the third straight quarterly gain as the United States heals from the longest and deepest recession since the 1930s. But that's weaker than the fourth quarter of last year, when the economy grew at 5.6 percent.
Consumers increased their spending this quarter at a 3.6 percent pace, the strongest showing since early 2007. That marked a big improvement from the fourth quarter when consumer spending grew at just a 1.6 percent pace

The US GDP will need to be adjusted when the economic money ( for infrastructure ) dries up.. Many of the people I talk to feel that will really give an indication on what the real economic recovery has been established..

one reason why the stimulus was bullshit. It did nothing to help prop up most of the private sector. So when all the road work etc is done you get left with the left bullshit programs the money was spent on.

and we are no better off. Now with this oil spill you can expect gas to increase about by a dollar I bet and that was also part of the last crash of the economy.

I hear you Allen about the infrastructure money..

But hey, my gas never went down here in the last 4 years.. I still pay between $4.00 to $5.00 depending on how the gas stations feel that day.. Yes we get that wide a spread.. $1.10 / lt to 1.20 / lt .. :mad
