Ugh this makes me so mad.

My daughter was hit in the mouth by a baseball bat last year. The 8 year old WAS horsing around, and swinging where he was NOT suppose to be (only swing bats IN the cage, he was standing in some grass outside the fence), and my daughter was just walking around a corner and BAM, full speed bat to her face. She bleed and cried like crazy, one tooth was chipped and her poor front tooth is now dead. It's caused her emotional trauma as well, and many tears, as her dead tooth now causes her to get teased at school.

I have never even thought to, nor would I ever ask for anything from the family or the boy. It was an accident, and things happen.. they're just kids!

I did finally find a comestic dentist that can fix her tooth without pulling it though, so she's getting it done in a couple weeks and is very happy :D

That's the rational approach. It sucks...yeah...but like you said, it was an accident.

Poor little one...I remember getting hit by a puck at a hockey game and I broke my finger (tried to catch it before it hit my face), I was scared to death to go to games for ages after that. Hope your daughter still gets to enjoy a ball game.
