do you think it's appropriate to nurse a baby in public? 68% of salt lake residents dont think so. I think thats really weird.

I have nursed 4 children and whilst I never fully exposed myself when breast feeding I wouldnt think twice about feeding in a public place but keeping discreet only for my own peace of mind. I am from Europe where mothers nursing is very popular and promoted by the national health bodies. Its natural, so why not.

I'm not really for it to be honest. If your in a public place, chances are tht their is a public restroom near by.

I didnt see this post before I posted - I appreciate your feelings of course but would you really expect a woman to sit in a public rest room and nurse her baby, I hope you have completely germ free rest rooms where you are from, my experience hasnt always been the case.

I've no problem with it some woman in my docs office the other day was doing it only thing was she sneezed all over the poor baby without covering her mouth so it was literally all over the poor little things face now that's inappropriate.

Seems a natural thing to me, but the women Ive observed do it in a fashion that is discreet, the blanket they carry goeas over thier chest and baby and I suppose the most Ive ever observed is the sucking sound.

No big deal.
