do you think it's appropriate to nurse a baby in public? 68% of salt lake residents dont think so. I think thats really weird.

Still, it is just as easy for a mother to express some milk in the privacy of her own home and just bottle-feed it to the infant once in public.

Mothers have beasts for one reason only - to feed baby.

The milk is kept at the right temperature.
Made fresh every few hours.
Convenient & difficult to lose.
Hygenic.
Good for the baby (better than cow or formula).

Have we really got to the stage where a mother feeding her child is offensive? Unbelievable.

I saw a lady breastfeeding her baby in the mall a couple of weeks back. It didn't bother me one bit.
Haha! Every time I think of nursing in public now I think of that scene from Me, Myself and Irene.

A baby has to eat when it needs to eat. I don't think there is anything unnatural or weird about breast feeding. That said, I don't think a mommy should whip it out, all bare breasted and bold, for the world to see, when the baby wants to eat. Use a baby blanket to hide your breast and give your baby shelter, or go to a quiet place where the world isn't staring at your child doing what is natural. Unless you're living in a culture where walking around bare breasted is the norm, I think it's important to consider the feelings of others, when you're in public.

who are these people complaining about a woman getting her tit out?
it seems like quite a petty thing to complain about. i think its sad that it has now become something to complain about if a woman just start feeding her child in the most natural of ways.

If my babies needed to eat, then I fed them no matter where we were........but I always made sure to wear clothing and carry cover ups or wraps with me so that I wasn't exposed in public.

There's nothing wrong with breastfeeding in public, but I do think it should be done discreetly.

I'm not really for it to be honest. If your in a public place, chances are tht their is a public restroom near by.

I think the objection is when a woman has it hanging out exposed for everyone to see. If a woman is using a nursing blanket and you can't see anything than why would there be a problem?

Just don't feed the boy or girl too much, because the boy may grow up to be fixated on boobies and the girl........ She just might turn out....... fixated on boobies also!

Hahaha! Just kidding!

I think, sometimes we live in too much of a Politicaly Correct society!

God forbid........ Oh! That You Say, "God Forbid!"

I dont really think theres a problem with it...it's def. not something I would do though. But as long as youre discreet about it I dont see why it would even be offensive to other people either. Its a natural part of life.

But like I said I wouldnt do it myself....I doubt I'll even do it in front of my outside family (def. not in front of aunts/uncles/cousins...maybe not even my mom and sisters) but thats just me.

i think the proper way to nurse a baby would be to put a blanket or towel over your shoulder so that you aren't exposing any breast or nipple. That weirds me out, if a woman just pops a button open and a boob falls out and theres a baby latched on. There are ways to be a little more discrete about it.
