I find it sad that people feel the need to be entertained by their devices every waking moment. God forbid they go an hour without the internet, or updating a status that most people really don't care about. I'm not very old, but I'm living in the past and I enjoy it. I watch 90's television shows because they wear straight leg pants and rent vhs tapes. My cell phone does nothing but call people. Though I'm sure eventually they'll stop making plain cell phones like that so I'll be forced to buy a touch screen internet accessible bladdy blip. People don't even read anymore without having the book on their damned kibble or kimble or whatever the fuck it's called.

The bolded bit I totally agree with. Remind me of kids who just cant wait to open their present/eat their lollies or whatever..."I must post NOW"....someone NEEDS to read this".

I have many of my friends and family on "hide" for that very reason. It drives me crazy, and I know if their status's show up on my dash I'll probably say something rude and piss everyone off LOL so it's better to just hide them.
