which made me sad, i wanted to fill it in... :(

the fact that I Am really sad about it says something about me doesnt it... :24:

You can go to prison for that over here. Stupid mate of mine threw his out before I reminded him, he had to fish it out of the garbage, soaked in god knows what, fill it in and send it off, feel sorry for the poor bugger who opened the letter!:24:

Here in Canada (Alberta anyways) they send people out to bang on your door to ask how many people are in the household and that's it.

Do they wear a uniform or something. I am totally paranoid of anyone who comes to the door. Taking a census...sounds like a good home invasion tactic to me!

Most Lubbockites have a census form at hand, and the Census Bureau warns they should take their decennial responsibility seriously - it's against the law not to.

Americans can receive a fine up to $5,000 for not participating in the census, she said, though this method is rarely enforced.

I got one in the mail last week, it's already back in washington by now. It only asked my name and address (which "the man" already knows since I just filed my tax returns) and how many people live in my home.
That's it?? Mine also asked if we were hispanic and if so what kind (mocha or latte), and the race of each person, including anyone temporarily living here on April 1st. I'm hanging onto mine until then because if they receive it too early, I'm worried that they might send the SEIU over to rough me up. :eek

Mine was like yours, Accountable.

And Janie, I am all excited I got to fill one out too! They had a lady in the commissary the other day who was answering questions and helping people fill it out. I wonder if you could go to the local government and get a fresh copy? (And who on God's green earth needs help filling a census form out? Name. Age. DOB. Not that hard, folks.)

Peter- EXACTLY! That's a big reason I did it. I'd like to think years from now, when I'm long since gone, someone will happen across my name and wonder what my life story was.
