I'm hoping you guys don't mind if I join in mid month. I had ben monitoring my exercise days/minutes the past days. You guys are right, it makes a difference joining this group, it's a
great motivator :nod:

I do mountain trailing and power walk/run uphills. I do Zumba once in a while. But not including that as i can't remember the days when i did that the past 16 days :p

Goal : 1200

1 90 minutes
2 90 minutes
3 90 minutes
4 rest
5 rest
6 90 minutes
7 rest
8 90 minutes
9 90 minutes
10 90 minutes
11 rest
12 rest
13 rest
14 90 minutes

Mountain trailing as in hiking? I love hiking but I don't get out to the mountains very often. :(

Yeah love love love hiking!! Sorry, no offense to those who love the gym. I love the great outdoors. Of course, i didn't use to do that when i used to live in the Midwest especially winter time. Where I am now- it feels great doing it regularly as we're blessed with good weather almost every time :p :willy_nilly:

Welcome to the Exercise Challenge!!! :) Wow, mountain hiking??? I bet that's quite a workout...and I bet it's great for shaping your legs, too. ;)

My goal will be 1500.
I'm a cyclist, so the majority of my workouts are on my trainer when it's so cold outside. When it's nice, I will ride the trails outside or ride roadside if the roads are in good condition. Friday's I ride the Chinese Downhill here, so that will be my friday workout.
Twice a week I do strength training for my upper body to stay in shape for mountain bike season.

1- 60 mins (trainer)
2- 60 mins (trainer)
3- 180 mins (3 hour mountain bike ride)
4- 45 mins (cardio dvd)
5- 180 mins (Chinese Downhill Ride)
6- 180 mins (3 Hour road ride in DE)
7- 180 mins (Chinese Downhill Ride) - - - > I'm EXHAUSTED!
8- 40 mins (trainer
9- I don't remember...
10- 40 mins (trainer)
11- 120 mins (trainer)
12- DAY OFF
13- 60 mins (run)
14- 180 mins (3 hour mountain bike ride)
15- 120 mins (weight training)

Wow!! Keep it up!! I've always wondered if i can cross train. I do mountain trailing/hiking. But due to a past ankle injury- it limits me sometimes as gets painful. I was recommended cycling and i can see you're doing a lot of it. Any tips- especially the type of mountain bike for women ? Thanks :)

I just started mountain hiking about 2 months ago. I used to run and was aiming at running half or full marathon. Due to a past ankle injury- I cant run as much anymore :( i had to look for something that I love to do hence shifting to this.

shaping legs: I hope so...I dont see any big difference yet :p

Btw- thanks for the welcome :)

yes.....sometimes, ill switch to this type of cross training

this builds stamina,..as well as strengthening the legs...i dont recommend the thorns though

Ok cool.. just returned to the gym yesterday after a little knee issue and its early enough in the month that I can still acheive my goal. I'm shooting for 1800 minutes

Goal: 1800 minutes
Total: 2280 minutes

GOAL MET!


1st- 20 minute dog walks
2nd-20 minute dog walks
3rd- 60 minutes (gym PM)+ 20 min dog walks
4th- 30 minutes (gym AM)+ 20 minute dog walks
5th- 30 minutes (gym AM)+20 minute sog walks
6th- 120 minutes (Just Dance 2) HOLY CRAP!!! I'm sore! LOL+20 minute dog walks
7th- 60 minutes+20 minute dog walks
8th- 60 minutes+20 minute dog walks
20th- 90 minute (run)+20 minute dog walks
11-14th- Jack Shit! I was in Georgia and didnt do a damn thing!
15th- 30 minute (circuit AM)+20 minute dog walks
16th- 60 minute (gym AM)+20 minute dog walks
17th- 90 minute (run) + 30 minute (abs + arms)+20 minute dog walks
18th- 60 minutes (Xbox Kinect)+20 minute dog walks
19th- rest +20 minute dog walks

21st- 150 minutes walking @ IOA + 90 minute run+20 minute dog walks
22nd- 30 minute (circuit AM)+ 60 minutes (arc trainer PM)+20 minute dog walks

So I was thinking this morning as I was walking the dogs.... I should have been counting my dog walks towards my exercise... DUH!

Is it cheating if I go back and add my two 10 minute dog walks per day??

Whooo hooo, go Zirc!!! :)

I walked about 8 miles before and after the game yesterday, so I'm adding in the times (I kept track, LOL). 220 minutes!!!

Goal met and exceeded!! That was a little easier than I thought..... I never thought about the minutes I exercise. I usually just go by distances :D
