I am a structural and misc. steel detailer. I make drawings for a steel fabrication shop to build by. I was greeted shortly after 7 with an e-mail telling me a huge stair tower with 11 sheets of stairs is all wrong according to his shop foreman. He is about to send his whole shop home for the day because of my screwed up work. I call him and try to figure out what is going on. After almost an hour of intense number crunching I find I have a 1/4" error on one stair and a 3/8" error on a second stair. I told him I appreciate a good drama as well as anyone but his shop foreman deserves an oscar for this performance. The rest of the story is due to things beyond my control I have had to go through every number on this job at least three times prior to today. Now I want a drink.

That's very sad. People are always quick to freak out at others when they know they could easily resolve the problem. Why not ruin someone elses day right? pft

I had an interesting morning as well.

I went to drop off the boys at school and someone was parked right on the cross walk. Last I checked those are there for kids and their ability to safely cross the street. So he waves me by to pass and I roll the window down and asked if he realized he was on the cross walk and not to park there. He of course freaks and says fuck you. I was like thanks for that I assume you didn't see my kid sitting right here? I thanked him and said again to not park on the cross walk. I pulled up and parked to get the kids out of the truck and the guy pulls ahead of me, parks, and gets out. LOL all because he was told not to park on the cross walk. It was interesting to say the least.
