I am a structural and misc. steel detailer. I make drawings for a steel fabrication shop to build by. I was greeted shortly after 7 with an e-mail telling me a huge stair tower with 11 sheets of stairs is all wrong according to his shop foreman. He is about to send his whole shop home for the day because of my screwed up work. I call him and try to figure out what is going on. After almost an hour of intense number crunching I find I have a 1/4" error on one stair and a 3/8" error on a second stair. I told him I appreciate a good drama as well as anyone but his shop foreman deserves an oscar for this performance. The rest of the story is due to things beyond my control I have had to go through every number on this job at least three times prior to today. Now I want a drink.
