My college course is a big JOKE! I literally have a month left and seriously wanna jack it! The bloody lecturers have put me through so much shit, its not even funny. Back in January my tutor asked me to resubmit an essay that i had done last year. I e-mailed it to him, then realised i had forgotten the bibliography so sent him a second email apoologising and explaining that my bibliography was attached to this second e-mail. I got message back the next day saying that he did not get the first email with my essay in it. So i sent it again. i also sent a seperate email asking if he recieved it this time. It took my tutor a few days to say that he had not! So i had to change the title of my essay as i think the spam blocker was stopping it getting through and on the 3rd try it sent. A week late but it didn't seem to be an issue. He was supposed to then pass it onto my other tutor who was to remark it.

So fast forawd to April every one is getting the results for the essay and when the second tutor got to me he was like i didnt get a submission from you. So it hasnt been marked. what? ok i explained that i had sent it to First tutor back in january and that he confirmed he had recieved it. He was ok about it. just told me to go speak to the first tutor and get it to him as soon as possible. Well the first tutor wasnt in so i went straight home and sent it directly to the tutor who was marking it this time.

I kinda forgot about it so i asked him today if he had recieved it. He said yes but you cant hand in a submission 6 months late and expect it to be marked! He was very rude about it as if it was MY fault. He said hes not going to mark it cos as far as he is concerend that module is over. What?! but i submitted it in january 3 fucking times!! i was told if have to go and speak to the first tutor about it. so i went to his office explained what second tutor had said to me and he told me that he had infact passed on my essay back in january and showed me his email account where he had recieved it! Now i have no idea if its gonna get marked if it doesnt i fail the module. if i fail the module i fail the course. If i fail the course i am gonna kick up shit!

what would be the point in my NOT submitting work that i had already done?!?! and why would i send my bibliography and not my essay?! And why did it take them from january to April to tell me that it hadn't been marked?!? if he had told me sooner i could have submitted it again! i am so pissed off right now!

Could it not have been handed in physically in printed form? Unless you don't have access to a printer, they don't want paper submissions, distance etc etc etc.

Our course is very complicated. This year is not a proper course it's part time booster course if you like cos after we graduated last year they changed the course. this year did a degree instead of a degree equivalent PDA. We were told we could resubmit our work and sit 2 modules to boost our PDA to a degree. Most of it was supposed to be distance. We were not required to be in class often. This prticular time I was phoned by the first tutor and told to email it to him. I sent it 3 time like said before and told hm if he didn't receive it I'd bring in a hard copy the next morning. He told me he had received it so I didn't take any further action. The second time I emailed it I was expecting to have to submit it so I didnt have it with me. I had to go home to access it. It was already near the end of the college day. I wanted it out the way so I emailed it again, which he admits he also received just refuse to Mark. He also neglected to tell me he refused to mark it. This whole thing has been a complete disaster from the start. I will be making a formal complaint if or when I get my degree.

Aaah. Sounds like you have everything on your side. Entirely not any fault of your own. They'd better get it sorted. I'm assuming your chances are good of it being marked/you getting the degree grade you want given this was not your fault at all?

For me, you have to submit two physical copies, and you sign off a sheet saying you've submitted it. The office then signs that sheet, and you keep that as proof of submission. As well as the electronic "turn-it-in" anti-plagiarism submission. It stops the bullshit from lecturers that you're getting.

First of all this is not what you told me yesterday. You said that you received the essay in time for the external examiner. Secondly if this was the case, why was I not informed of this at the time you received my essay? Surely both yourself and matthew would have known at this point that the external examiner had already visited.

Also I initially emailed the essay to you on Wednesday the 16th of feb. If you remember I forgot to attach the bibliography so sent it in a separate email explaining my mistake. You replied to me 5 days later on the monday the 21st of feb saying that you had only received the bibliography. I then sent the essay a further 2 times on the 22nd and 23rd. You verified that you had received the essay on the 24th. I can accept that students are responsible for handing work in on time however, for 5 days I was not informed that you had not received my essay. As far as I was concerned I had submitted my work.

this week has been pants! needless to say my turtor did not email me back after my last email. i didnt think he would tbh. i dont want to speak to him in person as then i wont have proof of what hes saying. i guess i could record him on my phone but it that realistic?
