Due to a little dispute with another member this morning I feel the need to make some things clear:

My English isn't perfect even though I do my very best to avoid mistakes. English not being my native language makes it hard for me to "read between the lines" and furthermore, as I have to use the dictionary quite often, there's always the risk that I choose expressions/words which have a bad connotation without knowing it.

So, should you (as someone blamed me for this morning) feel patronised/insulted/etc. by anything I've said, then please let me know (and in best case offer me some help to handle it better in the future).

Believe me that I am far from wanting anything bad to anyone (even if there are opposing opinions).

I cannot imagine how bad I would butcher another language considering how often I butcher English, make typos or choose the wrong word. I think on a message board a certain amount of understanding should be afforded.

Thanks, Guys (and Girls *g*).

However, I felt the urgent need to ensure that none of you overhastily feels offended by something I say. Ususally, I try not to offend anyone. :)

I agree...don't worry about it. Sometimes you'll just catch people on a bad day and it is easy to misinterpret what someone meant just by words. The only thing I would suggest is maybe trying to use some of the emoticons to show what you meant by something you typed. It may help...but I wouldn't lose any sleep over it! :)

I try to always take into account when someone speaks english as a second language, or is from a different country from me.

I wouldn't worry too much. I mean I'd rather a forum member spoke in broken english than spoke like an outright douche. To me you seem fine, haven't seen too much of you though, but nothing to worry about.

Well if I feel insulted I usually ask about the person's intend privately when I can.
I rather not get into a pissing match in here and have everyone take sides. :thumbup

I understand your English perfectly well. I am as bad as you are as you know we are on same boat! English is also not my primary language. There's nothing that you said there that you should worry about. Cheer up friend, dont let that incident ruin your beautiful day ;)

As you have told me b4, the negative reactions of people reflects more of the type of people that they are over what you are as a person :D Keep that in mind!

You've always brought a smile @ Otz and to me especially when you're here ;)

You're doing well. :thumbup Know the history of members when it comes to having those bouts of negative reactions. It will help big time avoid such future interactions with them :p

I'm with Springers on this one. And your english is fine to me, perfectly understandable. I know the dispute you're on about and trust me, you're not the one with the issue.
