I responded when they asked if this trial would create a hardship for any prospective juror. Spoke with the judge with attournies present and was released.

This is the third time I have been called. First was a capital murder case. I was struck as a juror. second I was excused without appearing. This time went more smoothly than I expected.

So, how do they determine who gets called for federal jury duty? Does everyone actually have a realistically fair shot of getting called to serve?

voter registration is the pool.

what do yall get paid for jury duty? here in houston its only $6 a day, which wont even cover the parking charges LOL

in federal court here. $40 per day plus mileage. parking is in a paid lot at no charge.

oh, I think it would be a hoot to be on a federal grand jury. Some of those sit for a whole year.
