well what can i say i started collecting Mustang stuff in 91 if i had all the mag ive read id haave run out of space LOL .......i got ride of quit a few years :lol :lol :lol

well i wouldnt have bbut when i moved back from Houston i was able to bring bacvk those 5 years i had 2 milk crats and so i brought back my books instead i had so much over 800 hot wheels and model mustangs , books , signs , etc so i had to get the most important :lol :lol

it was but i got all but the 5 years back home so now i have a house full and its still growing heheheheh and you know the 86 is alot like my 85 ..... i got it froma freind in not so good shape one window the motor was gone no tires tops leaked rqan not so good, paint faded . and after 5 month i had hung exhaust fixed the entereier i took a needle and stetched the seats , fixe the tops . put new tires and rims . put a new motor in her and buffed the piant and there was a totally different car :lol :lol

luckily the t-tops don't leak, i would like to replace the seals, but i'm not gonna dare touch them. i think they have like melted into the cracks during the summer. :lol :lol :dunno

try this on the seals and let them sit not in the sun though ........... Vasaline that is the best for the seals mine were bad but after i put that on the seals it helped them big time and it cost alot less then replacing them but its like glue when you put the tops back in they wont leak but the tops are hard to get off :lol :lol :lol

thanks...i'll have to try that.


edit: just put the vasoline on the tops, and then put them back on right? also just a thin film or glob it on all over?

No dont clob but do us a good layer on it then slowly put the tops back in like youll see....... put the edge down and then lower it in place so the vasaline stays put :lol :lol :lol
