I think this is a very welcoming forum. There are MUCH worse out there! The introduction threads are a good idea, it's a nice way to ease yourself onto the board instead of randomly popping up and having older members go wah wah what the fuck, who are you!

I never felt bullied either. Just the regular dismissiveness, but that can't be helped. Like Springsteen said, the only way to be accepted is to post. Not to be mistaken for spamming one-worded posts everywhere, but when people see your awesomeness, they'll talk to you lol.

I joined a forum once where everyone was over-welcoming.. it scared me off to be honest. Reminded me of smelly men in cars with candy and I was a 5 year old.

I don't think it's a problem with people being rude so much as the site is kinda clique-y and it's hard to find your place. Hell. I've been here for a year and a half, and I still feel like a noob, generally speaking.
