Thing is tough guys, and i include cops and firefighters and anyone else in a dangerous profession just look plain childish when they spout off and talk like that on the web, they generally speaking have nothing to prove
And tbh it is a sign of immaturity. Lord knows these guys deserve to let off steam but frankly had i have posted that I would have been emarrassed. Letting down my unit and myself

Second of all where I have many friends and family in the military and I have the highest respect for the people who serve I am not about to glue my lips to the ass of someone I find to be moronic and I won't lie not a decent human being after the comments he made in a certain thread just cause he is in the military... sorry but that's how I feel and if that is judgmental then fine ill own it.

My officers respond to stuff like that nearly every single night...it's part of their job, unfortunately. Actually, I take that back...very rarely is it a 6 on 6 fight. It's usually 20 - 30 subjects or it's more like a 10 on 1 type situation. A check of local news sites will show that in the past few years we've had 1 gentleman from the military killed in a bar parking lot and we also had to shoot and kill 1 that was involved in a fight that migrated from the bar to the Waffle House (video is even available online from that one).

I didn't comment on the second part of what you had to say. So again, don't make assumptions. I also don't judge people. I call things the way I see them. But I can understand how people might miss the subtlety involved. I'm not the one telling people to shut up either; and it was perfectly acceptable and liucal tondraw the conclusion that I did.

Im assuming your talking about officers, commisioned officers in the Army and not police officers. Soldiers fighting at bars is pretty common around army posts. It was a military bar, the guys we fought were Soldiers also, field artillary guys within our same brigade. If we saw them today, sober we would all laugh about it and shake hands. It was a fight. Not a huge deal. Your never in trouble unless the police get involved.

We arent all 'tough guys'. Most of us have fought in wars and suffer from PTSD. You have to be tough, its part of the Job. If you let someone disrespect you in front of your platoon you will lose some respect. In the end it was just a random bar fight, which is common at this specific bar.

When i posted this thread I was semi-coherent and i figured you guys would get a laugh out of it. I figured i would get replies like "Lol drink some water and goto bed". Im not demanding respect or anything, not trying to look tough. I was just still hyped up and drunk. Your acting like you never got in a single drunk fight your whole life, or you never did something stupid when your drunk.

Regardless, drunk or not. If someone hits one of my friends... I will hit them. (Considering he cant handle it himself)
