I just got a call from my mom asking me to come with her when she puts one of our cats down...this will be the first time i will ever have to be around for a pet to die...all growing up we moved and had to give our pets away. We've had this cat for 11 years now.

I cant stop crying...the cat is such a sweetheart but shes always been sick plus now shes peeing and pooping all over my moms house...shes had to clean her carpets 8 times in the last 4 months. She doesnt want to give her away cause she thinks anyone who takes her will get fed up and ditch her somewhere...and she doesnt want her to live out her days in a cage somewhere either...which i can understand cause shes just getting sickewr and sicker...

I know its for the best but still. shes so sweet and cuddly and fluffy ....

Aww.. it is never easy, I have put down a few cats, and a few Dogs... nothing is worse and it is a hard thing to do.. But yeah it is better then them suffering.

We had to put two of ours down in January (and another died). I know exactly how you feel. *hugs* Just remember, it's better to do it now before it gets to painful for the cat.

THat's a hard one to go through.... she was with you every step of her life, I think it's important you do the same for her, to show her she isn't leaving all alone. It's awfully hard though.

I really wish you didnt have to go with. I have had animals be put to sleep and I can get over it eventually. However around Christmas I had to put my cat to sleep and actually be there to see it. There isnt a day that goes by that I dont see him dying in my arms. Its god damn horrible. I hope you are stronger than me, Kat. Lots of love to you all.
