I am working on passing the 2nd kidney stone in my life.

I don't wish this on my worst enemies.

My dad had them but so far I have not. Sorry you are dealing with it.

I worked with a man who was hulk of a man and I heard him scream like he was being castrated while passing one. He showed the stone he passed to me. Looked barely bigger than a grain of sand.

My ex-hubby had them on a cruise. We went to an er room on a third world hospital and a rooster ran thru the place. Patrick said "Don't let them do anything but X-ray me!". He was miserable until they passed. Doc told him to pee in a nylon to catch it. Have you ever been in formal wear and gone into a urinal to pee into a pantyhose. Patrick wouldn't do it.

I too wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.

I pretty much stopped drinking dark soda after the first one. I am guilty of indulging sometimes though.

Well I guess I have nothing to fear if I become your worst enemy then.

(...nah, good luck with it...)

Get your doctor to prescribe some Percodan. It worked like a charm when I had a stone. Didn't feel nothin' after it kicked in. :thumbup

Dark soda has nothing to do with kidney stones. It's usually caused by excess calcium. If you drink or eat a lot of dairy products they are probably at fault. Also.. men shouldn't take a calcium supplement unless it's been prescribed by a doctor and you are followed with regular blood work. If you eat a normal diet you are most likely getting your required amount.

I haven't had a glass of milk since I had my stone in 1990 and I really loved it but I haven't had another stone and I'm ok with that. They hurt like a bastard.
