Hockey is everything

Game seven, is just, well just gravy

seriously I have been to FA Cup finals, seen England play at Wembley and abroad in Germany

been to a couple of NFL games and some MLB, admittedly never a playoff game nor a superbowl/worldseries game, and I can say IMHO, nothing beats game seven for drama, tension and excitement

(i tell a lie there was that time in primary school when Linda Miller showed me her knickers behind the bike shed, but apart from that game seven is the best):p

Well said, my friend, well said...

Living in a town that lives and dies by sports it's hard not to be excited for this team. Win or lose I'm going to cry like a baby...I'm so proud of them...Everyone counted them out over and over again...and they've pushed a game 7 in the Stanley Cup Final. Game 5 wasn't a turning point clearly or they'd be out by now. It's anybody's game and the Pens will play balls out because they have nothing to lose. They win, they hoist the cup for this city for the first time since 92. They lose, they can still hold their heads high because they did what 28 other teams couldn't. 100+ games, and 8 months + later it all comes down to tomorrow...I'm so excited I could pee.

LET'S GO PENS! LET'S GO PENS! LET'S GO PENS!

I wish I trusted Craigslist to get tickets. I would love to go. You only get so many chances to see a game 7 in your own town.

If this was at Olympia this would have been epic. That place was incredible.

Back in the 70's the Wings stunk and finally got in the playoffs after missing several years. I got to go see one of the playoff games. A couple minutes before the game started on the other side of the rink somebody in the upper deck threw out at least a 10-15 pound fish. It was like watching in slow motion as it came down out of the stands and then crashed on to the ice with a big splat. Never did understand the fish as a choice. I bet there will be many octopi hitting the ice tomorrow.

Go Wings. Detroit needs some good news

I bought concert tickets off of Craig's list once (out of complete desperation) and it turned out ok. Since you're local, you might be able to do StubHub...there were tons of tickets left as of yesterday...and if the sellers have printable tickets, you might get a deal...plus, StubHub guarantees their tickets so if they would happen to turn out bogus, you'd get a refund. Though, I heard tickets were starting around $600...I know there really aren't "bad" seats in Joe Lewis, but that's a hunk o' change for sure! I was tempted to go though...very very tempted. It's only a 5 hour drive. Btw...I have to say I get a kick outta the poor girl who has picked up the octopus before the games...the look of disgust on her face is palpable! lol

...and Go Pens! :D

Last year I did a once in a life trip east as I wanted to see a Yankees game at home before they tore down the stadium. I also went to Fenway. I paid a ton of money on stub hub for $25 tickets. I can imagine tonites game is over $1k

My cousins kid was given the offer to buy 6 tickets at face value. He took 2 and turned down the other 4. His old man about hit the roof. He would have taken em and sold em.

One of my guys at work is gonna go down to the game and see if he can get a scalped ticket. He probably can but it is illegal to buy or sell a scalped ticket. Back in the 70's I had a friend who had tickets to the Wings games. The team stunk so you could not get face value. We were warned by a cop to not sell as even under face value it is illegal.

They implemented a really weird scalping rule here that only allows scalpers within so many feet of the stadium etc etc but they still try and crack down on the ones selling tickets at ridiculous prices online...at least ebay does. But when you go to TicketExchange on Ticket Bastard and StubHub some of the prices make you laugh. One knucklehead was trying to sell a single seat in the same section where I have season tickets for over 11 grand. Come on dude...as for baseball tickets here...our park is beautiful, our team sucks...scalpers couldn't even give 'em away! :D OK maybe the all you can eat seats...seriously is there more of a slap in the face from the ownership of a team? "Well, we're going to do diddly about attracting talent, but stuff your fat asses full of our crappy food for only $35!! We may even shoot of some fireworks!" Ach, I can't take it...
