new years day at the highway club

every year on new years day the club i use has a charity day.......its a day where a good cause linked to member has cash raised for it.......over the years we must have raised tens of thousands for charity........well this year there were 2 good causes......2 little kids who suffer from cerebral palsey......they're both going to get much needed equipment

this is just a short phot diary of the day

now this is chris......chris is a man in his 50's.......hes actually mentally handicapped himself but......over the years hes raised a fortune by doing one thing........a solo headbang come dance thingy all by himself





at the end of it chris was presented with a tankard for his efforts over the years.....talk about thrilled

i,m behind the camera.....my daughter took some but she was being the typical wanna be cool 15 year old and tried holding the camera 1 handed.....talk about blurred

its annual........the other year was a kid with multiple slerosis.......about 7 years old.....at the end of the day it was amazing........him and his parents were on the dancefloor and the dj put 'you'll never walk alone' on.....all of a sudden the dance floor was full with the kid raised in the air and everyone singing.......the good in people amazes me sometimes

you would like bike rallies ,all money raised goes to charity,it really touches you sometimes...big hairy hard men doing daft things to raise funds for people less fortunate

we get bikers and scooters doing alsorts around here for charity

its really good.
a friend of ours had their house burn down in sept and their son died in it ,they were left with nothing...within a week bike clubs and peeps had donated 3 grand to them to just buy bloody clothes and food and stuff.


you have to come to a bike rally with me and juggler,and my hubby and of course porphyria ,youll like itoh and the smurfs,the kyzers ,perverts in leather..list goes on
