Ok, the clues - I loved some of his early movies before he came to hollywood - this was his first going back. E.g. films such as 'A Better Tomorrow', 'The Killer'.
The 'eggs' clue - was in relation to Hard Boiled
- also featuring hospital scenes.When I said long - I was referring to Parts one *and* two - not just the one part version that was released for international audiences.
I have the long two part version on blu-ray. I believe it's out over there or due out very soon.
Reasons I love it. I got interested in things Three Kingdoms era related by playing as some of the characters within the movie on the PS2/3 game series 'Dynasty Warriors' so read up some on the history and whatnot. There's tons there and I've barely scratched the surface but I knew of this battle and wanted to watch this as a result. The characters even looked a lot like they did in the games.
I was not expecting it to be as good as it was - I didn't enjoy some of John Woo's later films but this was epic in storytelling and spectacle and pretty accurate as far as I can tell with regards to events too.
Stunning movie... if you don't mind subtitles. I hate dubbed movies

It is an epic scaled movie and I did enjoy it tremendously. My point was not in reference your suggestion, merely that I'd already announced the winner for having guessed already - so I thought you were just being a silly billy in that respect
