Naps in the afternoon

I want to discuss this.
Ok I just woke up from one, feeling I think more tired. Usually I feel ok, but sometimes I wake up feeling worse then when I layed down. Does anyone else has this problem or is it just me?

I do sometimes, but to tell you the truth I could so use a nap right now. Just the thought of it makes me more tired. Too bad I am still at work though.

Alot of times I before I go into work at night, I like to lay down and take a nap but when I wake up, I feel alot more tired than before I even layed down.

I'll be sitting on the recliner in the living room reading and find myself falling asleep. Over half the time, when I wake up, I feel lousy...irritated and getting a headache. The other times, when I wake up, I feel either weird because I feel temporarily disoriented or I'll feel a little refreshed because I was so relaxed and it was so quiet and peaceful when I was asleep.

As someone from the country were naps were a tradition (and still are), I can tell you that's only because you sleep too long. They say you shouldn't take naps longer than 30min.

i dont think that has to do with naps, sorry...umm, i always heard 45 min naps were where its at, but the Spaniard prob knows better, being they are like cats over there, nap nap nap

Yeah, I used to feel like that when I would take naps in the afternoon. Id be so tired that I needed a nap, but I always regreted it after waking up from one cuz I felt like total crap. And when its time for bed that night it would take me forever to fall asleep. But yeah, I always felt like crap after waking up from an afternoon nap... I havnt done it in years cuz my boys are grown now and theres never anytime for one!

Well I try not to take naps in the afternoon b/c I feel that if I take them I won't sleep at night...but I don't sleep at night anyway. I remember when I did take naps I would wake up feeling more tired though.

naps only work on me if im
A- hungover
B- got nooooo sleep the previous night

otherwise i wake up felling worse most of the time

I feel crappy taking anything over 10-15 min.

If I need a nap it's usually because I didn't sleep enough the night before .. and my body wants to stay alseep and get a full cycle .. if I wake up after 15 min, I am groggy for quite some time after that.

If I sleep over 15min I need to sleep at least 2 hours or I'm not good for anything workwise. I can't concentrate.

Ok, I'll be funny...Naps reduce stress which reduces the likelihood you'll get cancer.

i just took a nap myself. hate it when i wake up feeling worse. sometimes its because i slept too long, as has been said.
