sounds like everyone knows anyway, especially if as you say all the girls know...so its no big deal. i'd be more concerned about your school work than your sexual orientation. When a person starts to make something into a big deal it can become a big deal, so make it just be normal and accept yourself and stop giving a shit about who knows what and what they think.

Personally I don't think school is a great place to come out unless kids there have got a lot more tolerant since I was there. Wait till you're at college where you'll probably experience the most liberal atmosphere of your life.

I agree with Pete. When I was in school kids were hella homophobic, and mean. Kids aren't very forgiving, I'd spare myself the torment, and just keep my mouth shut till college, if I were you.

Do other kids go around telling everyone they are straight?

I say tell who you want to and trust. :)

I agree with this post. Sexuality shouldn't define a person. We don't all walk around wearing signs that say "Gay" "Straight" etc. There's no reason to shout it while running down the halls, I think the key is being comfortable with who you are. If someone asks you if you're gay, smile and say yes. Confide in the people who you know will be a positive addition to your circle of people who are "in-the-know".

It should get to a point where people aren't asking sexual orientation questions, ever. Until then, there is no equality.

I couldn't agree more. I hate when people say things like "Nice shirt, no homo" or if a male says "I really like the way you've done your hair. I'm not gay, I'm just fashion forward." Why would you need to add the "I'm not gay" part? Should we assume that if a male tells me he likes my hairstyle that he must be gay? There are still way too many stereotypes for my liking.

It is today and that is greatly due to social acceptance and the fact there is a more "no tolerance" to any bad behaviour in schools today. So much of what kids go through is more hidden, albeit still a reality for many..

Back when I was in school the term "Gay" or "Homo" was widely used towards those kids that the cool kids wanted the bullies to take care of business for them.

Hence if you were not a cool guy and got on someone's shit list, you became a "Homo" and most likely got the shit kicked out of you the rest of that year if not the rest of the time you spent at that school.

It's been about 8 years since I was in school, but I doubt it's much different, kids are kids. Law of the playground and all that.

my friend, god made everyone straight. Don't feel offended or anything but no where in world should people encourage such acts. If you are gay then nobody can change that but i don't see why people are supporting man to man and woman to woman

straight or gay has nothing to do with god,its about hormones.....simple as that.....and in my eyes a man who protests openly about something has something to hide...are you gay?
