My husband took her to the vet today while I went swimming . She was dehydrated. Im so glad that was all it was.

I was so afraid that she wasnt gonna make it thru the night but she's still with us. I called the 24 hr emergency vet and the answering service man told me that he could call the vet and wake him up but he would be upset and he would charge me $115 just to talk to him on the phone :wtf

Anyways, I finally got her to eat a little something this morning and drink some water. So thats a good thing. She hasnt gotten off the couch since about 6:00 last night though

All I have to say is sooo wrong, I have called the 24 hour service, (thats why they have a vet on call) But I have called it several times, and the ONLY time I was ever charged was the one time I had to take my cat in bcse it's jaw was dislocated and it could not eat, The other times I called they advised me on what to do, to either resolve the situation or to be able to wait until regular business hours to bring the animal in.

I just can not believe they would charge you for a ohone call, sounds like the calling service just did not want to do thier Job.

Aw, that sucks, hope your pup feels better soon! Oh, and I wouldn't use human antibiotics on a puppy, bad idea I think.

how do you think most med are tested.

There is no way I'd give my dog let alone a puppy human medication.
