My Name is Khan and I Am a Terrorist

That’s right, my name is Khan and I am a terrorist, but I wasn’t always one. In fact I wasn’t even that religious before, though born in a so-called Muslim family. According to my current understanding I was actually a “Kafir” although I preferred to call myself an atheist or agnostic at best. So what happened? How did a liberated soul like mine get warped into becoming a Muslim firstly and then a terrorist willing to unleash my wrath on the enemies of Islam? Let me explain…

i see a few flaws in this article not to mention the logic, it was an interesting read, though not surprising
something else i find interesting is that you post the article but give no opinion...that can be taken many ways, but i'de like to read/hear your thoughts on it.

It is not necessary for me or anyone to agree with the views expressed by the writer in this published article. However, the views do tend to reflect how the war on terror is becoming counter-productive in that it is losing sympathies of even some good people after they are made victims of ridicule and mockery as a whole.

I simply think and I may be wrong but the war has already turned counter-productive....as more and more innocent people are being killed in the war zones through air attacks ( somewhere it said it is 50 to 1); general hatred towards Muslims as a distinct religious group; and prolonging of the war without being successful at catching the main culprits even after about 10 years and creating inter_Muslim killing by setting up puppet governments in war-ridden areas..

The whole situation is ugly and ought to be stopped...you cannot set fire to the entire forest to catch a rogue hidden there...

I think it is high time some good policies are made to bring Peace to the world while catching and bringing to book the terrorists at the same time. That is WAR hasn't proved to be the solution yet and it might never, as it seems:)

ok......whether it was right or wrong to go into afghanistan.....what do you think would happen right now if the coalition pulled out?

Sooner or later the coalition has to pull out from Afghanistan. If they did now chances are that the Taliban's will
take over their country and establish their rule there! This will have direct impact on Pakistan which is less of a Taliban country but excessively Muslim; the ripple effect would be felt there as well. Sunni and Shia Muslims would be at war...Sunni's backed by Saudi and Shia's by Iran. Perchance the Taliban's got nukes they would
inevitably go after Israel and in doing that EU will suffer. The coalition will have the only choice to guard their own frontiers ...and stop being watchman of the world unless it has different aims.

Kamal Ataturk of Turkey was sensible enough that, as a matter of policy, he returned Arab territories to the Arabs and sticked to his own land. America ought to do the same ...and let UNO decide controversial matters peacefully. It is NOT the object of the governments to tell people what to dress and what not to dress...or what to eat or what not to eat...if Talibans are bad Saudis are equally bad then why does the coalition go hunting for one and picnicking with the other??Sheer hypocrisy...politics is~!
