This is one of my best works and the first story that I finished. I'm proud of it, but know I still have a long way to go.

There are 8 scenes in it, and I'm going to post them separately, so patience LoL

Comments are appreciated :)

Between Families

Light breeze ruffled the curtains; making them dance, ripple like water, as the tantalizing rays of the hot afternoon sun oozed through the window, peeking almost shyly in the second story apartment’s bedroom.

A form, huddled under the soft layer of bed sheet, moved, lazily stretching her bare arms above her head, her slender fingers curling absently while emitting a low, sleepy moan. Taking her time, the young woman sat up in her bed, the lime colored sheet falling to her lap, exposing her luxurious upper body.

With a yawn, she let her fingers travel through her silky raven locks, untangling a few strands in the process. Clear blue eyes, clear as a stormy sky could ever be, blinked laggardly as she swung her legs over the edge of the bed and stood up, confirming the lingering suspicion that yes, she was, indeed, fully naked.

Taking a few steps forward, she stretched her arms again, tensing her muscles and relaxing them again, before closing her stormy eyes and smiling as she let the light breeze and warm sunshine caress her exposed flesh, making goosebumps race one other over her porcelain skin…

Then, she heard the bedroom door slam open, hitting the wall with a frightening crash, making her spine stiffen and the smile vanish from her full lips.

Her widened gaze fixed on the two figures looming in the doorway - dark, intimidating, life threateningly dangerous… and they were blocking her only escape.

They were watching the apartment closely for a while now, patiently waiting for the right moment to make their move. Being an ace in their field, nothing passed them unnoticed -- no telephone call could she make without them noticing, no letter could she send without them reading it, no one she could meet that they didn’t have a tag onto.

They had perked up earlier the day, when a man left the target’s home, not just any man, but the man they were after. For a split of a second they considered to transfer their attention to him, but quickly decided against it. The boss made clear orders as to what they should do. Nodding to one other, the two decided that now was the perfect opportunity, now, when she was not prepared.

Nodding to each other again they moved through the building swiftly, like shadows of the night, mindful of any peering eye.

Leaving witnesses was out of question.

Arriving at the target’s front door, they made quick work of unlocking it and soundlessly slipping inside.

As their gaze swept over the room, a low moan caught their ears. Agreeing without a sound, they slid to the door from where the moan came, taking position on either side of the doorframe.

Wordlessly they counted to three before they kicked the door open, a laud crash echoing through the apartment.

For a minute or two neither they nor the young woman said or did anything, just stared at one other, before the two stepped forward.

No woman, no matter how enticing, will hinder them from doing their job.

- Do you recognize this woman, sir? - The police officer asked him, holding out a photo of a young, raven haired woman.

Cortez shook his head no; his emerald eyes flashing dangerously as they swept over the photo, the young woman’s form: ghostly pale, motionless, stormy eyes clouded, staring lifeless into nothingness. Even in death, Julia was beautiful.

He averted his eyes, a dull pain throbbing through his system, though he quickly pushed it away and let fury take it’s place. How dare they lay a finger on what was his! Kill his lover!

You would’ve guessed that by being the godfather of the clan, he wouldn’t have such problems.

He clenched his hand in a fist. He didn’t have to think hard to figure out who was behind this. Moralez, that bastard.

- Are you sure, sir? - The officer asked, holding out the photo, letting Cortez’s gaze sweep over it once again and again he shook his head no.

That arrogant bastard put grass in her mouth. He knew what Moralez wanted to say with that. Drugs. The deal between them was dead. Cortez clenched his jaw.

Moralez will pay for this.

The air was hot and the sun blazed down on the city, almost like it wanted to fry everything, but this was natural at this time of year. It was summer and alike last year, or the years before, the people went on their vacations, wanting to escape the sizzling warmth of the summer rays of the sun.

The days went by slowly at this time of year, nothing really happened, the city was almost deserted and so, it was the perfect timing for a massacre, a discreet one that is. A body here, a body there. Who really noticed that they were once the members of the mafia? Who suspected that between the two clans a merciless war was fought? And who really cared?

Some small fish later, the appearing dead bodies seemed to fall out of the more influential group. The family members fell like flies and soon enough, the only ones alive were the ones with the most power, Cortez and Moralez, though, that would change soon enough.

In a lonely street, in a deserted factory, they sized each other up, Cortez’s emerald eyes boring in Moralez’s black ones, their hands gripping a gun each, determined to end it here and now.

The sun’s rays oozed through the broken windows, illuminating the small dancing dust particles in the air, shushing the wind to slide more cautiously through the empty hallways. Wait, hold your breath.

And then, it was over.

The only thing betraying that the two had pulled the trigger were the frantic pigeons flying from the building, startled by the gunshot.

Inside, everything was silent except for the shallow breathing of Cortez. He smirked evilly and his green eyes glimmered as they swept over the form of Moralez spread out in the dirt, his eyes lifeless, bleeding from the wound where the bullet hit his head. His smirk widened, his aim was still as great as ever.

Cortez suddenly groaned, clutching his chest and falling to his knees. That bastard wasn’t bad either, only and inch to the side and he’d be dead.

Sirens came closer and closer and Cortez breathed a sigh of relief when the hall’s door opened and a man in a white coat came in. A doctor. The ambulance had arrived.

Maybe if the pain hadn’t been so great and it hadn’t clouded Cortez’s mind, he would’ve realized that he had not called an ambulance, but he didn’t and he paid with his life.

Leave it to Moralez to plan ahead.

And so, the summer slowly came to an end, retreating in favor of the change bringing autumn. The air was still warm, but with steady pace it grew cooler, the wind becoming more aggressive and the leaves starting to turn different shades of copper and fall to the ground, leaving the trees bare.

Life, in the city, returned to its normal, monotone pace; people went to work, children to school. And though, it was highly obvious, the people failed to notice that somewhere, along the line, organized crime had stopped to exist, that the two clans that terrorized them had been extinguished.

But who really wanted to dwell on the past when the future looked so bright?

- This went better than expected! - He said, his voice sounding almost giddy - I would’ve never imagined that it would work out so good! The entire mafia in only two months! Amazing! Some more ideas like this David and the whole police office can retire! -

In a seat, across from him, the young man smiled broadly, his liquid chocolate orbs twinkling, pride rolling off of him in streams - Thanks for the praise chief… It was nothing really… - he said, shifting in his seat absently.

The chief smiled - Oh are we getting modest, Mr. super-police-officer? - He asked while wiggling his eyebrows before his face lost the boyish glimmer - Now seriously. Did you kill that girl? -

David rolled his eyes - Come on chief! Do you think that low of me? - He asked, a slight pang of hurt evident in his voice - Of course I didn’t, would never do such a thing. -

The chief blinked - Then who did? -

David leant back in his seat - No one - he shrugged nonchalantly.

- I don’t understand - the chief looked at him, blinking questioningly, confusion written across his face.

David grinned - You see chief - he started - We were watching her closely and when that day Cortez left her apartment we decided that the moment was perfect. It was a piece of cake getting in and arresting her -

- Arresting her? - The chief questioned. The youth nodded before continuing.

- We took her in for some questioning, though not before taking some “artistic photos” - He smirked - Of course we paid her well for it… -

The chief smiled - I’m impressed -

- Then - David leant forward and wiggled his brows suggestively - How about a raise? -

Her heels made soft tapping sounds that echoed through the hall as she went along it, heading towards the front door of her apartment. The keys jingling as she fished them out from her purse and unlocked the door. Closing it behind her, she locked it again, but before she could turn around she felt someone move behind her and place their hand on the door, right beside her head, trapping her effortlessly.

- Hi Julia - he said, his voice rumbling softly from his throat.

She turned around, her stormy eyes boring into his dark brown ones - I don’t remember letting you in, officer - she said, not affected by his closeness.

- I let myself in - he flashed a cock-a-hoop grin - and it’s David -

- Care to tell me why you let yourself in, then - she paused for a moment - David -

- I guessed you would like to join me for dinner - he said cockily.

- And what if I say no? - She raised a perfectly sculptured eyebrow.

- To tell the truth - he leant in closer - I’m not hungry at the moment either - he whispered huskily in her ear as his hand traveled to her hips, his strong fingers playing with the hem of her blouse suggestively.

She tilted her head to the side, playing innocent - And what do you have in mind, instead of dinner? -

He smiled wickedly before he claimed her lips in a passionate kiss, his arm sneaking around her waist and bringing her closer, flush against his chest. She moaned softly, responding to his lips’ hot caress by wrapping her arms around his neck, her fingers curling around locks of chocolate hair.

Running his tongue over her lower lip tantalizingly, she couldn’t help but part her lips for him and he wasted no time, devouring her mouth hungrily. His hands roamed over her body leaving paths of hot fire behind before they snuck under her skirt. Skilful fingers played an erotic symphony on her heated flesh as they made their way to her behind, making her gasp sharply when his palm closed around her buttocks. He squeezed them gently while lifting her up, pinning her firmly between the door and his body. Her pulse racing, she could only moan low and wrap her slender legs around his waist as he stole the air from her lungs.

He drew back slowly, out of breath, hot with need and looked in her eyes, which were clouded with desire. He smiled wickedly as she pouted realizing he wasn’t about to continue.

- I believe you are not in a mood for dinner either - he said huskily against the skin of her neck before giving it a nuzzle and a lick.

She shivered and nodded then, leant in closer, whispering in his ear - You know where my bedroom is… - she trailed off, her voice low and husky.

He grinned before claiming her lips again, devouring her as he carried her towards the bedroom and slamming its door shut whit his foot.

The rain started to pour from the sky, lightning flashing in the distance. The wind rand through the streets angrily, tossing the coats and umbrellas of the passer-bys, slashing in their faces, but Julia and David, they were oblivious to all this.

Inside the small apartment, the air was hot with passion, laced with desire, full of moans, sighs and groans of pleasure, sizzling with the warmth of ten summer day suns, burning between soft sheets of lime green.
