My Missus Is Stuck In This

Thanks everyone. Its 2am and I cant sleep for worry. My aunt in law further up the Queensland coast and my brother in law are keeping me up to date but it's really terrible. The water supply has been cut off by it and the hospital is in a critical situation because of this. My thoughts are with all the unlucky ones whose family members have been killed or are still missing, there are a few hundred of them.:(

Finally got through to her, she's ok but it's armageddon there. She may have trouble getting to Brisbane is 6 weeks for her flight home because the road is obliterated. Her granddad is in a tiny settlement half an hour away of about 100 people and 4 of them have been killed. he's sheltering in the pub.
Latest from Toowoomba - 9 dead 66 missing

Unconfirmed reports I'm getting - 5 more people have died and evacuation notice been posted for Toowoomba and Ipswich. Getting quite worried.:(

There's been no mandatory evacuation notice for Toowoomba and Ipswich. However, I heard that the flood waters in Ipswich were going to inundate about 1/3rd of the city.

Peter, I hope for your family's welfare, my Grandmother also lives in Toowoomba, thankfully, the Police are checking up on her regularly. Phone communication can also be a bit sketchy, a lot of water is clogging the lines.

It's a pretty bad situation, and I (like a lot of other people) are stuck in the middle of it.

I have some friends who might have to evacuate soon or are completely cut off by floodwater's or are prevented from getting home. I've been staying with some friends for the past few days, and I'm heading home tomorrow, I hope the flood waters don't prevent that...
