My hometown makes the national press, but for all the wrong reasons

A FRUIT machine addict has been jailed for 18 months after stealing £9,550 from *four vulnerable victims he was supposed to care for.


Adrian Lomas, 21, made 44 withdrawals using the bank cards of people with learning difficulties. As a carer, he was trusted to get cash for them.


Lomas, of Glossop, *Derbys, had been working for the town’s St Christopher’s Trust for a short time when he started his 11-week spree.

This guy was a couple of years lower than me in School but seemed pretty normal, this news disgusts me.

What a loser. I can't stand people who would get a job, working with the disabled, only to rip them off. It's so cruel.

I can't stand people who work with other vulnerable people to nick money from them as well, it is just so low
