The Tuesday before thanksgiving was very interesting.
At 3:30pm I get a call from the wife, the car died on the road.
Drove out to find that the transmission would not engage. Added trans fluid and was able to get it off the road.
Luckily it was still in warranty (by 500 miles) and Saturn sent out a tow truck to bring it to the shop.
I dropped off the wife at work and went back to wait... after 2.5 hours, they show up and flatbed the car away to the dealer.
Turns out the transmission needs to be replaced, $3,800 total, completely covered under warranty. Thank god
Drove home and was waiting to make a left turn into my driveway when the guy behind me tagged the bumper.
Yeah, I was standing still and he was doing about 45mph. Which pushed me into oncoming traffic where I side swiped another vehicle (bumper to bumper)
So I spent the next few days sore as hell and without any vehicle... Friday I picked up a Chevy Impala to replace the Saturn and I should be getting another rental tonight to replace the Honda.
Did I mention the Honda was a 2011 and it needed it's first inspection by the end of the month. :24: perfect timing.
