my first damselfly of the year

a large red damselfly

i got the day off work so a trip to brandon marsh was in the offing,on leaving the visitor center a visitor first comes across a dipping pool thats mainly used for school trips etc,i always look there just in case...well i spotted this little hunter....then the skies opened and i got drenched:eek

Its eyes look like some stripey sweets!
