My Fellow Lenters?

I'm not Catholic, but I live in an area that is almost all Catholic.

So for lent I am giving up Coke and fried foods. That's HARD cher!

My roommate, Nicaraguan Catholic from California, informs me that that is NOT how they do it in California!! In California they usually DO something for Lent, not give something up.

So my fellow lenters - how do you do it? Do you give something up? Do you DO something like charity??

Or are none of yall Catholic?

so not sure what you have to do but in my religion is do something for your self mostly fast and cut a lot of food that days especially now for Easter is the 40 days wich none do that long now:D mostly a week anyway... also that time you give something to the poor food and what ever you have and can(not many do now) ...
so what you did i don't see it as wrong
