My eventful day

So this morning, I wake up at 3:30... I put on my work pants and start straightening my hair.. Well, a nauseous feeling RUNS over me and I feel like i cant stand anymore. I was already up most of the night because of this damn cold I had.. SO- I decide to call into work because I was feeling sooo shitty. I then lay down for the rest of the morning. Austin basically turned into my caretaker. He made me a bowl of cereal (with out milk) and some sweet tea. He also fed jacob his breakfast because I couldnt get up. I couldnt MOVE at all with out feeling like I was gonna throw up. Around 2pm, I decided that I NEEDED to go to the med stop. Ive honestly never felt this bad in a long time. So The kids got dressed and I dropped them off at their Aunt's house.

I made it all the way to the med stop with out throwing up, but my head was throbbing so badly it was hard for me to walk.. I checked in and went into the waiting room to wait. Well, I started feeling really dizzy.. I got the whole tunnel feeling, so I put my head between my knees.. Next thing I know, I open my eyes and I see carpet (I was wondering to my self, why is the carpet so close hahah), I looked to the left alittle and saw that everyone in the waiting room cleared out and these nurses and doc was running towards me. I then, blacked out again.. When I woke I was in a 3rd position. The doctor was holding my hand trying to keep me conscious. She told me that I passed out on her 3 times and that the ambulance was enrt because they didnt have IV's at the med stop. They try to pull me up and i hear the ambulance pulling up (lights and sirens!!). By this time, Im thinking ' what the fuck is going on??" They put me in the ambulance (MY FIRST TIME IN AN AMBULANCE) and these two guys keep trying to stick me.. My veins were collapsed, i guess, because they couldn't get an IV in me.. Well the second guy tries again and finally gets one in.. I swear he was digging to china.. It hurt sooo freaking bad. They take me to the hospital where the doctor there was a total prick.. They gave me 2 types of pain meds in my IV and a nausea medicine.. They tested me for the Flu.. I actually have a viral infection that turns into the flu.. so he gave me some prescriptions to go home with...

OMG- today sucks.. However, since I got the fluids in me, I feel much better.

If you read all the way through this post, you deserve some rep, because I know it was long. LOL
 
V. You have to continue to keep the fluids going. Drink as much as you can. Sorry to hear about your day. Hopefully, you will start to feeling better soon. Take care of yourself.
 
Good god! I've had the flu before but nothing that bad! Geez I'm glad it wasn't something more serious!
My mother has those collapsing veins too and the roll. She about strangled a nurse once that was trying to get the IV in because she was digging around too much.

Is your stomach still getting queezy?

yea, but not too bad right now. They gave me some nausea medicine.. so hopefully that will make everything stay down.
 
You are so lucky that you passed out where you were and not on the road....

I'm glad you are felling better. Getting enough fluids are so very important... wow are they important...

I hope the meds kick in and kick that shit out of you... I was sick all last week, so I feel for ya.

Take care of yourself and keep the fluids flowing.
 
I hate it when they dig for the vein, That does hurt like hell! I'd rather them take the needle out and keep sticking it back in then keeping it in and digging around. You poor thing, I hope you get better SOON!
