I had an idea for a twist on wife beaters for the ladies...
what do you girls think? Yes? No? I love it. It took maybe 5 minutes and 3 ft of ribbon and a scissors.:cool

Well I have this problem with the wife beaters that I pretty much live in all summer. I have hips as you can see and I have a hard time finding beaters that accomidate me. They are also so straight and tight. I wear them alot during the summer because when I ride my motorcycle, my butt hangs out of my jeans. Damn crotchrockets. No one wants to see my butt crack so I wear the wife beaters and pull them down a bit. Now with the extra couple inches around my hips, life is great. :) LOL I bet my boyfriend will love it too!

Hey Alicia, do it up! It's super easy and a great way to make extra room for your growing tummy, but still look feminine and sexy! I thought I would post it up and show ya how to do it. If you guys want more detailed instructions I can do it up.

Oh and dont dont dont.... cut it too high that it is open over your bra area... You cant wear a decent bra without everyone seeing... I have one like that now and I never wear it because I dont like everyone seeing my bra thru the ribbon. It looks tacky. Im not bold enough to go without the bra either... some may, but sure as hell not me. Would you guys wanna see the other one?

Not for too long though... it only takes 5 minutes tops.
Take a wife beater and lay it flat face down.
Find approximate middle (right to left middle, not up and down middle) of the back.
Cut from the bottom seam up to where you want it to stop. I went about 4 inches below the bra strap on this one.
So now you have a slit up the center. You want to make the loop holes now.
What I did for this one was make the slits about a half inch from the edge of the slit. I made them the width of the ribbon.
The thicker the ribbon, or the closer together you make the loops, the less you will see of your skin. This ribbon is about a half inch wide, therefore I made the slits a half inch long.
You want to make sets of slits like a shoe has for laces, directly across from each other. I spaced these out about an inch and a half vertically from center to center of the slit. Make a bunch of these the length of your slit and stop a couple inches or so from the bottom of the shirt. Mix it up, it doesnt really matter.
Lace up your shirt with the ribbon. Try to keep it from being twisted. It looks sloppy. Finish it off with a bow and you are good to go.
You can wash it with the ribbon in, but I dont recommend it. It scrunches the shirt and when you put it in the dryer, it comes out goofy. Not to mention the colors possibly bleeding.
Post up pics of your project!! Get different colored ribbon so you can change them out any time you want!
