It was my mom's, but she got a new Ford Fusion(She wanted better gas milage), so I got it. I wanted a Ranger, but I couldn't find a well-priced Ranger that wasn't a piece of shit. I know, so cool to get your mom's car, but it's not all girl-ish and shit, and it's a bad-ass vehicle that I got for free.

Well, that's just being too literal. I know it's not a car, but any time I refer to it as a "truck"(Easier than saying SUV in my opinion), I get told it's not, it's an "SUV" or told to just say "car".

I wouldn't call my car a rocketship, would I? No it's a car.

I don't get why it's stupid to call something what it is. SUV. That isn't that hard. lol

Thats like buying the walmart brand of tissue and saying "get me a kleenex please?" Well I can't, because we don't have any kleenex... we have tissue though, would you like one of those?

Finally got around to getting some pictures today. This is post-accident(Although I worked on fixing the bumper yesterday), so there are some things fucked up on it(I'll point 'em out).

Side

Rear(Wiper stopper broke off in the accident I'm assuming, so I have to prop the blade up on the window)

Other side

Now for my fucked up bumper. It was a LOT worse last week, but I took it off, tried to straighten the things that hold it on, and pulled it out more(It was pushed further into the frame, and falling down a lot more). You can also see the cracks in the black part of the frame.

Dude, just take the bumper off.

Other than that, that looks like a sweet ride; especially with the rear-window wiper making a flip-you-off/middle-finger salute!

:)

In Florida, apparently it's illegal to drive without a bumper. Besides, I don't wanna look like some redneck jackass with no bumper. It's only bent on the sides, I'll just take it to the shop soon.

But thanks :D 5.0, V8, and yeah, I never thought of the wiper like that :24:

so your now one of those fuck the planet i drive a gas guzzling off roader on the road vehicles?

Uhm, yes actually. But did you look at my pictures? That's no off-road vehicle. Everything is stock. I'm not some hick redneck that goes mudding. I live on dirt roads, hence the dirt on the car. As for the planet, yes, fuck it. ONE person driving a fuel efficient car won't fix the damage. Besides, I got this for free, so I'm not bitching. I'd rather not blow the money on a new car, when I have a $10,000 Explorer for free.

Um... an Explorer is no off-road capable machine.

And why do you have to have that kind of attitude? :(

Very true. I owe you rep, ha. If anything, the Ford Explorer is a family vehicle. Mine is just one of the older ones, so it comes stock with a 5.0, V8 engine. I can't help that Ford made it that way.

well big engines should be outlawed for starters

Don't start shit, there's no reason to. I don't nag you for what you drive, I could care less. Again, I got this for free. It's better than having to spend money on a new car. But honestly, I'm 17, and just got my license about four months ago. I don't care what I drive, as long as I can. The environment isn't my problem. At least my vehichle doesn't spew smoke like the Diesel trucks do. I like trucks better than cars as well. Cars are too small for my liking. I hate having to stand up out of the car, I'm around 6'0, I'm a big dude.

No one else mentioned this, so I have to. That isn't a freaking car.

I'm still not seeing a car. :D

um... why? Big engine does not automatically = gas guzzler.

Gas mileage comes from driving style, driving condition, maintenance, and engine type. Certain V8s have come close to or equalled the MPG of my car easily for years... and my car can get 33 mpg on the highway.

Define "big."

Capacity
Horsepower
Torque
Weight
Dimensions
Decibels

..

Et cetera.

Why do not we all just go back to horse and buggies? Much more renewable resource consumption, much less environmental impact, if you figure out a way to feed horses their own crap.

If not that, I guess we should just make an engine capable of only producing one horsepower. Seeing as you only need one horse and a buggy to get anywhere, in general. Oh, and you will not have any torque to get out of the way of sticky situation with pedestrians, because then they would be going faster than your vehicle.

Or maybe one horsepower is too much, and we should enslave humans. Because, of course, PETA would get in the way of using horses.

Maybe we should use bunnies, whales, and dolphins; respectively for fields, underwater excursions, and then fun-on-the-top of the water events. Well, we are screwed to this planet then, because there are no animals to take us into outer-atmosphere.

-------

Yes, I realize this is an extreme, but is well-founded, because you did not define "big."

I seriously look forward to your rebuttal. :thumbup

Reading Comprehension FTW!!!!111!!1!!!!1!!

Eh, I may do rims eventually, but for now, I'm focusing most of my money on the audio mods. Ha, very ironic actually(About me liking Dodge and owning a Ford). But it's a pretty sweet truck, and I got it for free, so no complaints there. And it's lived up to that acronym on more than one occasion! I did find out this past Friday that this truck isn't exactly made for offroading. Got it stuck(Mostly the back end) pretty bad Friday night, had to actually leave it overnight and get towed out Saturday afternoon. A few weeks ago, I had the Front end sink into mud(Well, it looked like dry, solid mud at first, but I was proved wrong). But I ended up getting it out by switching between drive and reverse a few times.

In the US, we do have a need for a truck. If I had the money I'd have myself a "gas guzzling" truck to haul shit back and forth.

You should probably be bitching me out too, I drive around a 99 Savanna 4.3L V6 van getting 18 mpg tops. Am I killing the planet too? *rolls eyes*

That is absolutely NOT true. There is a lot more engineering and emissions testing and equipment that goes into todays cars than you understand.
